You can also expect to see coaches, pro players, and former pros as guests to join the lineup at the analyst desk.

As it’s expected, the list is primarily comprised of casters and analysts from Europe and North America, but let’s not forget representatives from other regions are also included.

The most surprising inclusion is PapaSmithy’s inclusion who along with Christopher “MonteCristo” Mykles and Erik “DoA” Lonnquist boycotted MSI this year over salaries. They protested Riot Games’ provided significantly lower wages comparing to industry standards today.

PapaSmithy tweeted that Riot Games negotiated with him in good faith to make his appearance at this year’s Worlds happen. On the other hand, Lonnquist revealed that Riot Games sent an invitation which he had to decline due to other obligations. Since his absence was evident, fans started speculating about the potential reason, and some of them went so far to assume that Riot Games opted not to invite him over the boycott.

According to ESPN, Lonnquist will miss this year’s competition due to other sports-related obligations in South Korea as well as some personal projects, which he will reveal in the near future. Furthermore, Mykles tweeted that he wasn’t offered an opportunity to join this year’s panel at the Worlds.

Although League of Legends enthusiasts would like to see favorite casters at the Worlds, they’re excited about the group that will analyze the action at the tournament. Based on reactions on Reddit, fans are looking forward to seeing PapaSmithy and Pastrytime collaborating. On the other hand, Froskurinn and LS are probably the only members of this year’s panel that are branded boring, annoying, and least exciting to watch.

League of Legends Icon Bottom line

Riot Games finally revealed the panel of casters and analysts for this year’s Worlds tournament. There are some notable changes and omissions, but all in all, the lineup is versatile, and it’s going to be interesting to watch their analysis of the action that is about to happen in just a few days.
