Esports Betting Promotions

As the 2023 IEM Dallas CS:GO tournament draws closer, punters eager to bet on this event will naturally be looking for bonuses and promotions to enhance their potential winnings and increase their chances of success.

Here’s what we managed to find ahead of the upcoming Intel Extreme Masters tournament in Dallas:

bet365 Sign-Up Bonus

Unfortunately, at the time of writing, there are no bonuses specific to CS:GO or esports available at bet365. However, new customers can claim a welcome bonus to receive up to €25 in bet credits, which they can in turn use on any market they wish.

All you have to do is create an account and deposit €5 or more, and place a qualifying bet (minimum €5) to get a matching bonus. Keep in mind that you won’t get your free bet credits right away; you’ll have to wait until your qualifying bet is settled, after which they'll appear in your bonus bankroll. To use them, you have to select “Use Bet Credits” in your betting slip.

It’s not the most generous welcome bonus we’ve seen, but it should do nicely for your early IEM Dallas betting endeavours.

Rivalry Welcome Bonus

As a platform, Rivalry offers a smooth experience no matter the device you’re using, as well as a plethora of options for esports.

No matter which betting markets you’re interested in, if you register for a new account and use code WELCOME100 during your first deposit, you’ll get 100% of your initial deposit as bonus funds, capped at €100.

Top IEM CS:GO Betting Tips

If you’re a beginner and you don’t know how to start betting on IEM Dallas, here’s a quick step-by-step guide that’ll show you the ropes:

  1. Choose a bookmaker: If you’re not sure where to start, browse through our options listed on the table above and select the one which best suits your needs and preferences.
  2. Register for an account: Complete the registration procedure by entering the required personal information and confirming your email address. Some sites will require you to confirm your identity as well.
  3. Choose your preferred payment method: All the sites we have recommended above accept a variety of banking methods, including the likes of Skrill, Bitcoin, PayPal, credit cards, and more.
  4. Deposit some money: Use your preferred payment method to deposit some funds. Keep tabs on active esports betting bonus offers to maximise your betting potential.
  5. Find the markets you’d like to bet on: Esports betting markets are plentiful, so choose wisely between futures, match-winners, and props.
  6. Do extensive pre-match betting research: The next step may take a while – but it will be worth it in the long run. To place smart bets, it pays (literally!) to delve into the statistical depths of esports organisations at play, as it can help you put together an effective esports strategy.
  7. Place your bet(s): That’s it. The final step of the process is actually placing your bets. Simply choose your selections, enter your stake, and click on that shiny PLACE BET NOW button.

IEM Dallas 2023 Betting Odds

Unfortunately, there are still no odds available for this event. That said, we'll be sure to update this section once we have more information.

IEM Betting Markets

Below, we've listed the top betting markets you'll find available for this tournament across most online bookmakers.

Correct Score

Betting on the favourites to win usually means relying on low odds; this is why many turn to the Correct Score market instead. While it can be more challenging, it usually offers higher odds than traditional match winner bets.

Here, you need to predict the exact score of a match or a specific map within a match. To make sharper predictions, it's best to do research on the teams involved by looking at their strengths and weaknesses. This will help you determine who is more likely to win and the score that they will win by.

Keep in mind that correct score bets only apply to best-of-3 and best-of-5 formats.

Total Rounds Player (Over/Under)

This market allows you to wager on the total number of rounds that will be played in a specific match, map, or series. Basically, you'll need to predict whether the total number of rounds played will be over or under the set number provided by the bookmaker.

This type of bet is often used in best-of-1 matches where the bettor knows which map is going to be played. It also requires knowledge of the teams taking part and their playing styles on specific maps.

For example, if FaZe Clan is known to perform exceptionally well on an upcoming map, then it makes sense to choose Under the given number of rounds (for example, 25).

Pistol Round Winner

In CS:GO, each team plays two pistol rounds at the beginning of each half of the game. This is where the Pistol Round Winner market comes into play; it involves betting on which team will win the first pistol round or both pistol rounds in the match. It's a quick and simple bet, as the outcome of pistol rounds can often set the tone for the rest of the match.

To give yourself a leg up here, we recommend Liquipedia or HLTV, where you can find useful insights into teams and their pistol round win percentages.

Race to Rounds

At times, certain teams will win rounds on momentum. This is where a Race to Rounds bet can come in handy. For instance, we know how aggressive ENCE Esports like to be and how good they are in pistol rounds. Let's say that odds on them to reach three rounds first are 2.10, which provides insane value; however, it also requires in-depth knowledge of the game.

Rounds Handicap

Alongside the Match Winner bet, the Round Handicap bet is also very popular with punters. Basically, the latter involves you either giving one team (the favourite) a disadvantage, or giving another team (usually the underdog) a booster before the match starts.

Keep in mind that numbers with a plus (+) sign attached are calculated on the lower whole number (example: +4.5 rounds = 4 rounds). On the other hand, numbers with a minus (-) symbol are counted on the next whole number (example: -4.5 rounds = 5 rounds).

Player vs Player Kills

For this market, the bookie specifies two players and your task is to figure out which of them will have the higher number of kills in the end.

It doesn’t matter if other players have more kills. These bets only take into account the two players specified by the bookie. Let's take NiKo vs. S1mple as an example – if you bet on NiKo, you’ll win if NiKo finishes the match with more kills than S1mple. If they both have the same number of kills or S1mple finishes above NiKo, your bet is lost.

What Is IEM Dallas?

IEM (Intel Extreme Masters) events feature a wide variety of video game titles, but as of 2022, they only host CS:GO and StarCraft II tournaments. Only top-tier teams qualify for these occasions, considering that millions in prize money are at stake.

The first IEM events date all the way back to 2006. Since then, the series have grown into a worldwide sensation and are growing towards becoming a household name across numerous esports countries.

IEM CS:GO History

Intel Extreme Masters is the longest-standing esports series out there. It holds events for several games apart from CS:GO, with StarCraft II being the second most popular.

Our below table contains some basic information on CS:GO IEM history regarding events held in the last two years. For an even more detailed look on the history of previous tournaments, refer to the main Intel Extreme Masters hub on Liquipedia.

IEM Dallas Tournament Format

The IEM Dallas tournament starts on May 29th and runs through June 4th. Here’s what the event's format looks like:

Group Stage

The group stage kicks off on April 17th. There will be two double-elimination groups, each containing eight teams. The groups will open up with best-of-one matches, but all remaining matches are set for bo3.

The top six teams (three from each group) will qualify for the next stage, a.k.a. the playoffs. Here’s how the best teams qualify for the next stage:

  • Group winners qualify straight for the semi-finals
  • Second-place teams qualify for the quarter-finals as high seeds
  • Third-place teams qualify for the quarter-finals as low seeds

Playoffs

Finally, we come to the playoffs, which are set to pan out in a single-elimination bracket. Quarter-finals and semi-finals will be played as best-of-threes, while the grand finals are scheduled for a massive bo5 encounter.

Prize Pool

As for the prize pool, we are still surprised at just how low the total amount is. However, fingers crossed this is just a temporary thing and that IEM will get back to its lucrative nature for the next iteration.

Below is the officially announced distribution for the prize money:

PlacePrize Pool
1st$100,000
2nd$42,000
3rd – 4th$20,000
5th – 6th$10,000
7th – 8th$6,000
9th – 12th$5,000
13th – 16th$4,000

Another thing worth mentioning here is that the winner gets a direct spot at the upcoming IEM Cologne 2023 this summer, alongside the $100,000 in cash.

2023 IEM Dallas Participants

The 2023 IEM Dallas is going to have 16 world-class teams taking part:

IEM Dallas Betting Predictions and Favourites To Win

Even though we currently have no live IEM CS:GO betting odds, we can safely assume the following teams will be in the center of attention once the tournament kicks off:

Even though NAVI isn’t officially in the tournament, they’re the most likely candidate to fill the last remaining spot as it goes according to the current ESL World Ranking. Faze Clan, Heroic, and G2 are all present; NAVI is the fourth, and there’s no way they let this one slip away.

Regarding the last campaign, NAVI held pretty well and finished in the semi-finals of IEM Rio. They swept through the group stage, beating The MongolZ, NiP, and BIG. However, Heroic proved to be too tough to handle, though it took a marathon of overtime to decide Overpass.

Overall, they are in solid form and with S1mple at the helm, it’s only a matter of time before they win something. Perhaps they might not go all the way in Dallas, but they’re definitely one of the teams to bet on coming into the Texas-bound show.

Heroic

Can you believe Heroic’s luck? They have finished as the runners-up on three consecutive Intel Extreme Masters events. Yep – IEM Rio Major last year, IEM Katowice this year, and IEM Rio just last week. They’re playing well, they’re one of the most consistent sides out there, but it’s now apparent that they have an issue with closing out campaigns.

It’s a psychological issue, no doubt about it. They just choke in the crucial stages of grand finals, something that had plagued Faze Clan back in their best days in the esport. Xizt will have to work with his players and try to figure out why and what’s happening in grand finals. Before they get that sorted out, we doubt much will change. Despite this, we still think they have high chances to end the event in the top-most position.

Faze Clan

Faze Clan is one big mystery at the moment. They’re up and down, hot and cold, left and right. They’re everywhere! Just imagine this – you win Intel Grand Slam Season 4 by winning the EPL S17, only to drop out of IEM Rio and almost the CSGO Major less than a month later.

We’re not sure what exactly is going through Faze Clan’s players’ heads right now, but it probably isn’t happy thoughts. They have to get their act together, learn from their defeats (especially that against Vitality) and come back stronger in Dallas. It won’t be easy, but they have plenty of experienced players to help them get there.

G2 Esports

Finally, G2 Esports! NiKo and the boys won IEM Katowice in February. They managed to connect their BLAST Premier World Final win from last December with another noteworthy title. We have to give credit where credit is due. However, they had an embarrassing ESL Pro League S17 campaign which left many fans scratching their heads in disbelief.

The biggest question regarding G2 Esports is their current form. We’ve seen a lot of noteworthy teams perform on IEM Rio… except G2. NiKo and the boys took some time off and will be hoping to get right back on their feet at the upcoming BLAST Premier Spring Final event.

That said, if you’re thinking of betting on G2 Esports, you’ll have to watch them perform at BLAST first. If NiKo and m0NESY show proper form, then go for it. If not, we could see G2 falter yet again…

Where to Watch IEM Dallas 2023

As things stand right now, we don’t know much about the streaming availability for IEM Dallas. However, if the previous iterations were any indicator of what to expect, we can rest assured the production quality will be at an extremely high level.

When it comes to actual streaming locations, your safest bet is the ESL_CSGO Twitch channel. There will be multilingual coverage, mind you, but for everyone who’s interested in the English livestreams, Twitch is the obvious way to go.

Summary

One thing is certain – IEM events are one of the biggest tournaments in the current CS:GO pro scene. They are right up there with the Majors, which speaks volumes about their significance and production quality. To get in on the betting action, choose a site from our list of recommendations above, sign up, and try things out for yourself!
