You don’t need anything special to start betting on PUBG Mobile esports. The only thing you need is a valid credit card or another supported method of payment. Finding and setting one up is not a big deal nowadays, so you’re practically good to go right off the bat.
Assuming you’re over 18… or whatever the legal gambling age is in your country of residence. If you’re not sure about whether or not you’re breaking this law, it’s best to check with your country’s gambling authority.
What sort of betting markets can you expect to see during PUBG Mobile events? Well, there’s actually quite a bit of variety. Let’s go through the main ones:
Outright winner is not to be mistaken with match/map winner. Outright winner bets are based on the outcome of the entire event. In other words, by placing an outright winner bet on Team A, you’re betting on Team A to win the entire tournament.
While we’re talking about long-terms, MVP bets are also based on the entire event. As their name suggests, they want you to choose the player who you think will earn the MVP title at the end of the tournament. This doesn’t necessarily have to be a player from the winning team, but a standout performer who’s consistently shown that he’s above the vast majority of his peers.
This bet only reflects on a single match/map. It doesn’t matter who wins it, your bet will go through as long as you’ve picked the team that ended up with the most kills. The tactic here is to pick the most aggressive teams right off the bat. Teams that play dynamic PUBG, that aren’t afraid to take risks early on… risks that usually pay off.
Very similar to the above-featured bet. But, instead of teams, we’re looking at individuals. Simply pick the player you think will end the match with the most kills and that’s it. The key here is balance. You don’t want the most aggressive player here, but one that knows how to pick his fights and has a proper set of teammates to support him.
For this particular bet, you don’t necessarily have to pick the player with the most kills at the end of the given match. Instead, the bookie will provide you with two players and it’s on you to pick which of them will finish the match with more kills. It’s quite a simple bet, but bookies usually go with tough matches with equal odds on both ends. Oftentimes, we’re looking at truly 50/50 bets here.
Here’s what you need to know about PUBG Mobile Pro Leagues and their respective format(s):
The competition is currently divided into 5 regional championships. The regions and sub-regions are as follows:
Chinese Taipei was the sixth regional championship, consisting of Taipei and East Asia Wildcard, but the competition was abandoned after the 2020 Fall iteration.
As for the format, it goes something along the following lines:
Countries/regional leagues consist of 20 teams and last for three weeks. Every match features a 16-team single-lobby format with teams divided into groups and then seeded in a round-robin format for Weekday matches.

Every week, top sixteen teams qualify for the week’s Super Weekend. According to Super Weekend points, sixteen Country/Regional Finals tickets will be awarded following the end of the third Super Weekend.
The Finals last for just three days with top teams (number depends on the region) qualifying for Regional Championships. Once there, we see two different setups according to the region’s size:
Both types of Regional Championships yield Global Tournament tickets, meaning they shouldn’t be taken for granted.
Typically, each PUBG Mobile Pro League has $150,000 in prize money. However, we can’t give you any more details because the official prize pool distribution slightly varies from one regional league to another. What you should know is that the top teams (numbers also vary) get Championship seeds, whereas the winners typically get a seed for the next Global tournament.
When talking about the most in-form teams right now, we have to point out Donuts USG as they’ve won two titles recently, one of which was massive. PUBG Mobile Showdown Korea vs Japan wasn’t that big of a deal, but PUBG Mobile Japan league S2P1 definitely was.
Korean duo of DS and DAMWON are worth mentioning too, just like Europe’s top contenders in S2G and Besiktas. Other leagues have brilliant teams too – Nigma Galaxy, Stalwart Esports, and D’Xavier, just to name a few.

If you’re looking for some concrete tips for betting on PUBG Mobile esports, we’ve got you covered:
First and foremost – if you want to have a good time betting on PUBG Mobile esports, then it’s of utmost importance to learn the basics of esports betting. If you’re not sure where to find a proper guide, may we refer you to our in-depth tips and predictions guide for esports betting.
It’s the best source of fresh esports betting tips you can find, so feast your eyes!
Don’t let the allure of PUBG Mobile betting mess with your reasoning. In other words, never bet the money you can’t afford to lose. That’s the golden rule of esports betting. Heck, that’s the golden rule of betting in general.
Trusting your guts is like relying on pure luck. If you want to be successful at this, you need to put the effort in. Not only should you learn the basics of betting on esports before even playing your first bet, but also do extensive pre-match betting research and strategizing to truly understand what you’re betting on.
Experience means a lot too. If you’re just starting out, don’t get disheartened after a couple of tough losses. You’ll have plenty of ups and downs throughout your teething period. You’ll get used to it, eventually… and by the time you do, you’ll be experienced enough to improve.
Now that we’ve explored some of the most essential general tips for PMPL betting in 2022, here are three common mistakes we see people do. This isn’t just tied to PUBG Mobile Pro League betting specifically, but to the entire esports scene too.
First things first – chasing losses! It’s one of the most dangerous mistakes you can make when betting on esports online. No matter what you’re doing, you should never chase losses.
Some of you who are just starting out might not even know what the term “chasing losses” stands for. In short, it’s when bettors keep investing more and more money after suffering subsequent losses, thinking they’ll eventually win everything back and break even. Of course, this usually doesn’t go to plan… and that’s where the fun ends.
As mentioned earlier, pre-match betting research is absolutely essential. Without it, you’re basically trusting your gut feeling. You’re relying on luck, in essence, and that’s not really a smart move when talking about online betting activities.
Whatever your niche game is, be it PUBG, PUBG Mobile or something else entirely, you should always base your picks on research-driven facts. End of discussion!
Lastly, what you never want to do is invest too much money into online betting. I know we’re here to promote it, but we also have to stay true with the facts. Most esports betting enthusiasts end up on the losing end of things. Just something to keep in mind should you be tempted to invest a large sum of money.
In short, it’s just fun. Battle royale games are typically packed with action from start to finish and there’s no better way to spice them up even further than with a well-placed bet. Yes, PUBG Mobile is a tricky game to bet on, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll always be on the losing end of things… especially if you spend enough time researching the participants.
First of all, there’s a big difference between PUBG and PUBG Mobile. Yes, they’re the same game… but they’re in fact a lot different. So different that they both have massive and healthy esports ecosystems which is quite a rarity these days… especially for battle royale titles.
When talking about other similar games, of course we have to mention other BR titles like Fortnite, Apex Legends, and Warzone. The most notable mobile competitor is Free Fire, though its demographics is not in direct competition with the above-featured titles.
When talking about the biggest PUBG esports events, the first two that come to mind are surely PUBG Mobile Global Championship and Peacekeeper Elite League. These two are by far the biggest competitions in the world, racking in the most lucrative prize pools year in and year out. These two are the tournaments all PUBG Mobile players dream of. It’s the crème de la crème of the game’s esports scene, that’s for sure!
It depends on your country of residence, really. While most countries now accept esports betting activities as legal, some of them still incorporate strict laws regarding online gambling… especially esports gambling which is commonly mentioned in the same context with underage gambling.
The best practice here is to research your country’s gambling regulations. That should give you a more tangible answer.
Unfortunately, we can’t give you a clear answer here, but we can make some assumptions. For starters, if we assume you’re going to be PMPL betting and nothing else, then the answer would be no – it won’t be a profitable hobby as consistently winning PMPL bets is rather difficult, especially if you’re a beginner. If you’re thinking of betting on esports in general, then that would be a far more viable solution and our answer would be maybe – it all depends on how much time and money you’re willing to invest.
