2019 will bring plenty of new stuff regarding the League of Legends competitive season. As far as Europe is concerned, the previous name – LCS – is getting changed into LEC (League of Legends European Championship). Esports betting is going to change a bit in 2019! Esports bookies will have their work cut out for them starting from the 2019 LEC season as well.
There’s an incentive for teams to win the playoffs because the winning team will qualify for LoL 2019 Mid-Season Invitational (MSI 2019). And, if they accumulate enough points throughout the season, they’ll qualify for LoL 2019 World Championship (LoL Worlds 2019).
Now, how about we dive deeper into what fans and teams can expect from the upcoming season? If you’re interested in following this tournament, then this info will come in helpful. LEC Spring 2019 is almost a go!

LEC Spring 2019 | Tournament Format
The new competitive LoL season hasn’t seen too many changes in terms of the format (except with the introduction of the new team format) so you shouldn’t have any problems following the action. The main part of LEC is the group stage. 18 matches for every team is more than enough Esports (just kidding, it’s never enough!).
The teams have a lot to fight for; not just be the winners of the group stage but also for a chance at the playoffs. Speaking of the playoffs, all matches in this part of the tournament are Bo5. First place brings automatic qualification for MSI 2019 and 80,000 Euros! The playoffs are also single elimination so if you lose – you’re out. No second chances. In any case, LEC Spring 2019 is looking like a very interesting tournament! Now, let’s see how the Esports bookies have prepared for the upcoming LoL competitive season:
LEC 2019 Betting Odds
Unfortunately, because the LEC Spring 2019 tournament is a couple of days from starting, we don’t have information about the betting odds. Esports bookies don’t like providing random odds that make no sense which is why none are currently available. LoL eSports betting is also a touchy business so things like this can take time.
Stay tuned because we will update this section of the article as soon as new info arrives. Because there are no betting odds at the moment, we obviously can’t compare them either. However, you can spend some of the time waiting for the odds going through our Esports betting academy. It contains plenty of information surrounding the world of Esports betting!

Teams LEC 2019 – Spring Split
The second change that is going to hit the 2019 season is the team format. Teams no longer participate in promotion playoffs and they cannot be relegated. This is because all teams that want to participate in the LEC are considered permanent partners. The teams get selected following an application process (we already know the participating teams for the upcoming season) which means some teams will have to settle with not taking part.

LEC 2019 Teams and Standings
Since the LEC season lasts throughout almost the entire year, the standings would not get updated until the end. But, since live updates are a big deal nowadays (especially if you're into live betting), having temporary updates is important in helping you place League of Legends bets. As soon as the season starts and the first matches get played, this section of the article will get updated.

LEC Season 2019 Spring Split Schedule Overview
The LEC 2019 season will last for around 4 months so the schedule for this tournament needs some planning. No one likes games that happen over each other (at the same time) which is why we haven't yet created the schedule. As soon as we have some info, this section of the article will be updated!

Championship Points, Playoffs and Worlds 2019 Qualifiers
If the 200,000 Euro prize pool wasn’t enough, then a spot in the Worlds 2019 and MSI 2019 surely is. Gathering enough Championship Points will, like previous years, grant the teams with a spot in the biggest League of Legends tournament of the year – Lol Worlds 2019!
League of Legends MSI 2019 is also on the cards but only for the winner of the playoffs (who will get direct qualification for this tournament). It’s safe to say that the LEC 2019 Spring Playoffs will be jam-packed with action!
Since this is one of the biggest Esports gaming events in the League of Legends world, not having a live stream would be terrible. And, Riot Games has always provided full live streaming support for the competitive season. You’ll be able to watch the action on Riot Games’ official Twitch channel as well as their website.
