League of Legends Icon Format and dates 2018 NA Spring Promotion

Teams will fight one another in Bo5 (best of five) format. The Promotion Tournament starts on August 11 and it ends on August 13 when we’ll find out the winners. According to the announcement made by Riot Games, winners of this tournament won’t auto-qualify for the 2018 LCS Spring Split, thus leaving fans wondering why do they compete in the first place.

The tournament kicks off on Friday, August 11 at 12 PM PT with Phoenix1 vs. Gold Coin United and Team Liquid vs. eUnited.

On Saturday, August 12 we’ll see the battles between Match 1 winner vs. Match 2 winner, and Match 1 loser vs. Match 2 loser.

On Sunday, August 13 loser from Match 3 and winner from Match 4 will participate in the final.
