With the growth of esports as a whole came new and exciting esports betting operators (or, as we like to call them, ‘bookies’). You’ll be using bookie websites or mobile apps to place your bets from the comfort of your home or while you’re on the go.
However, doing it properly requires you to go through a couple of steps to ensure a seamless and entertaining esports betting experience. And, with the continuous addition of new esports games (such as VALORANT), there’s no doubt that you’ll enjoy placing your favourite bets.
VALORANT esports features numerous tournaments throughout the year, but none are as prestigious as the VALORANT Champions Tour. So, if you want to achieve the most with your bets and withdraw your winnings no matter which country you’re betting from (if esports betting is legal there), here’s what you need to do to get started:
The good thing about esports betting is that most betting markets are the same across not just games but entire genres as well. This means that if you already have some experience placing esports bets on, for example, CS:GO or Rainbow Six Siege, you’ll probably know how the VCT EMEA betting markets work. Nonetheless, here’s a quick explanation:
VALORANT esports has come a long way, but that isn’t to say that Riot Games hasn’t always had an excellent grip on what they want to achieve. Nowadays, there are hundreds of VALORANT tournaments each year, which means plenty of action for the organisations, teams, players, and punters to place their favourite bets.

The biggest set of events is the VALORANT Champions Tour, which features regional and international events. In this case, we’re covering the EMEA part of the Tour, featuring teams from Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
VCT EMEA is just one regional VCT tournament, with the other two being VCT Americas (North America, Brazil, and Latin America), and VCT Pacific (South Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Oceania).
The top four teams in VCT EMEA 2023 will qualify for VCT Masters Tokyo (set to take place in June 2023); a highly important tournament because the most successful teams will qualify for the final and biggest event of the year — VCT Champions.
VCT EMEA 2023 is arguably the most important step in each team’s esports ambitions this year because if they don’t finish in one of the top four spots, they’ll miss out on getting to the Masters stage of the Tour. Overall, there’s plenty of action to watch and there’s no doubt that the 10 participating teams will give their best to come out on top.
In order to plan your betting strategy accordingly, you’ll need to know and understand the VCT EMEA 2023 tournament format. Here’s what it looks like:
Regular Season:
Playoffs:
As for the schedule, the tournament will last for two months, starting on the 27th of March and ending on the 28th of May, 2023.
We currently do not have information about the size or distribution of the VCT EMEA 2023 prize pool. As soon as the organisers release this info, we will update the article accordingly.
Based on the teams’ most recent performances, there are only two relatively clear-cut favourites to win this event. Keep in mind that this is just our opinion based on results and that things might change once the tournament starts. After all, we’ve had only one big tournament in 2023 — the VCT 2023: LOCK//IN São Paulo event, so there’s not a lot of information to go off.
Fnatic has always had a strong VALORANT team, however with their recent additions, they seem unbeatable. Their 2022 esports campaign was mildly successful, with wins in the Superdome and VCT 2022: EMEA Stage 2 Challengers and a good 4th place in VCT 2022: Stage 2 Masters — Copenhagen.
But it seems that they’ve found their footing in 2023 due to their surprising but impressive win in VCT 2023: LOCK//IN São Paulo. Since their biggest rivals (LOUD and DRX) are competing in different regions and not under the EMEA, we consider them to have the most chances of victory in VCT EMEA 2023.
Natus Vincere have been unstoppable in C-Tier tournaments in 2021; a time when they were trying to find their groove and get into it with the big guns. However, 2022 wasn’t a fruitful year when it comes to the team’s success, but – they did start competing in A-Tier events.
Things changed in 2023 at the LOCK//IN when Natus Vincere, by all accounts an underdog, reached the semifinals but lost to eventual champions Fnatic. What led to this was the complete refurbishing of their roster, with five new players joining the team on the 8th of November 2022. These are still part of the NAVI squad and will definitely be a force to be reckoned with in VCT EMEA 2023.
The tournament is still some days away from starting and none of the bookies have released any odds yet. However, this should change in the upcoming few days, and we will update this section accordingly.
The primary place where you’ll find all the VCT EMEA 2023 action with ease (and available in the most languages) is the official VALORANT esports website. This site is available in English, Czech, German, Greek, Spanish, French, Hungarian, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Turkish, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Indonesian, and Vietnamese.
Otherwise, you’ll be able to view the tournament through the largest esports stream provider — Twitch.tv. All of VALORANT esports’ streams will be available on Twitch but only a few of those will be available in languages other than English.
If you miss the action, don’t worry — simply visit the official VALORANT esports' YouTube channel to access the match VODs. Remember — you’ll be able to start VCT EMEA betting a day or two before the tournament begins (27.03.2023).
VCT EMEA 2023 is the continuation of the 2023 VALORANT esports circuit and is the first hurdle that teams need to overcome on their path to competing in VALORANT Champions. It’s set to be an exciting event, so make sure to stay on top of the game and place your bets strategically. But most importantly, enjoy the show!
VCT EMEA is a VALORANT tournament organised and hosted by Riot Games (the game’s developers). It features 10 teams from three regions: Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Four of those teams will qualify for the VCT Masters event in June 2023.
VCT EMEA 2023 begins on the 27th of March and ends on the 28th of May. That’s two months of almost uninterrupted esports for you to watch and place bets on!
You can watch VCT EMEA 2023 matches live on two streaming platforms. The first option is on the official VALORANT esports website and the second is on VALORANT Esports’ Twitch channel. Alternatively, if you miss any of the matches, you’ll be able to watch VODs on the official VALORANT esports YouTube channel.
Based on previous results, Fnatic are the biggest favourites to win, followed by Natus Vincere. Fnatic also won the VCT 2023 LOCK//IN São Paulo event, so they’re fresh off the press when it comes to performance.
If this is your first time betting on VALORANT matches, we advise you stick to simple and relatively easy bets such as Match-Winner. If you want to potentially get more winnings from your bets but also incur a bit of risk, then Outrights and Most Kills bets are excellent choices.
