Before venturing any further, let’s talk about the story behind LAN Sweet LAN events.
While betting on esports doesn’t require any advanced web surfing knowledge, if you have absolutely no experience with online betting on esports (or regular sports for that matter), here’s a quick step-by-step guide:
There’s nothing much to be said in this department as there are no LAN Sweet LAN betting odds yet as we still don’t know almost half of the participants. Once we get the full list (including the remaining seven teams) as well as more details on the format and schedule, we're sure that esports betting sites will properly cover this one.
What sort of markets can you expect once we know everything about the event? Well, it should go something like this:
Live betting may or may not be available. The trends in this department are quite positive with more and more bookies featuring live esports betting for big events. But, LAN Sweet LAN isn’t exactly one of the biggest CS:GO events this year, so you may or may not have access to live bets — it all depends on your bookie. All in all, however, esports betting markets for LAN Sweet LAN won’t be lacking!
At the time of writing, we only know nine of sixteen participants:
Four of the seven remaining ones will play through direct invitations, but we don’t know which teams got them. The remaining three spots were supposed to go to the winners of Snow Sweet Snow #1, Spring Sweet Spring #3, and Pinnacle Winter Series #2. However, FPX and Complexity still haven’t been confirmed and ForZe (winners of this year’s Pinnacle Winter Series #2) are already through with their Spring Sweet Spring #1 title.
Heroic is not to be taken for granted! Despite playing poorly on BLAST Premier World Final, their Fall Finals title coupled with a runner-up finish in the IEM Rio Major suggests that these guys mean business. They might not play the flashiest and most action-packed CS:GO, but you should definitely keep tabs on them… especially if you’re interested in LAN Sweet LAN betting odds.
Next up, Virtus.pro AKA Outsiders. These guys need no further introduction, really — they’re coming off their best performance ever. You might have heard about Jame and co winning the IEM Rio Major just last month. Granted, their performance at the BLAST Premier World Final wasn’t the greatest; still, they’ll be fancying their chances in Belgrade, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see them go all the way.
Last but not least — OG. Even though their most recent campaigns weren’t any good (despite reaching the semifinals in the BLAST Premier World Finals, with wins against Heroic and NaVi), nexa’s home turf advantage is bound to come in handy for these guys. OG are like a dazed beast — they are just waiting for the right prey to pounce on. This could happen at any time, and from the looks of things, Belgrade might be the perfect opportunity.
Now let’s get into some more details about the tournament based on the limited details announced so far.
Unfortunately, the prize pool distribution has not been revealed yet; the only thing we do know is the total amount — $250,000. We can assume the winners will get $100,000, which is the standard for $250,000 events.
There have been no official announcements in terms of the format either. We can safely assume that we’re going to see a two-phase tournament consisting of a group stage plus playoffs. But, when it comes to intricate details regarding both stages, we have nothing to share with you for the time being. Hopefully this will change in the coming weeks, though it doesn’t really affect LAN Sweet LAN betting markets.
At the moment, not much is known regarding LAN Sweet LAN schedule other than the fact that the tournament kicks off on January 21st. Everything else will be officially announced in the next couple of weeks.
Unfortunately, we still don’t know all sixteen teams that will be participating in Belgrade on LAN Sweet LAN. Seven spots still have to be filled, four of which are invitees. What we know at the moment is that the invites have been sent, but the recipients haven’t made a formal commitment yet.
However, we’re bound to get our answers before the new year, so we can finalise the list of participants for this one. Remember, the action starts on January 21st, so even if we get the final seven teams after New Year’s, there’s still enough time to place your CS:GO bets.
According to the information we have at the moment, LAN Sweet LAN livestream will be available on Twitch. Rumour has it that this tournament will have official livestreams in both English and Serbian, and knowing the popularity of CS:GO in Serbia, we wouldn’t be surprised if this is true.
We’re at the end of the road — there’s nothing more to be said about the upcoming 2023 LAN Sweet LAN. Once again, it all kicks off on January 21st, so if you’re looking to get in on some live CS:GO action early next year, Belgrade Serbia is the place for you!
LAN Sweet LAN betting odds still aren’t available, though. Just keep in mind that they’re going to change drastically once we find out the seven remaining participants. If you’re into early bets, don’t waste too much time — grab them while they’re hot!
All in all, we’re looking at one of the first big esports tournaments in 2023 and we can already say it’s going to be a cracker!
The 2023 iteration of the LAN Sweet LAN event starts on January 21st. At the moment, we still have no concrete information about the end date. But we can safely assume it’s going to end before the month of February.
Yes, you can bet on this CS:GO tournament without any issues. In fact, some online bookmakers already feature odds for this one. Just head on over to your favorite bookie – chances are it already features 2023 LAN Sweet LAN betting odds, despite the fact there’s still a whole month to go.
As mentioned earlier, several esports bookmakers already have CS:GO betting odds for this tournament. Where to find the best ones, though, is a completely different story. At the moment, it’s still too early to predict which bookie will have the most generous odds. If maximizing value is of pivotal importance for you, wait a bit longer to see what other esports bookies enroll in their repertoire.
LAN Sweet LAN is going to provide a ton of spectacular CS:GO action in Belgrade. But the last day of January will push the best CS:GO team to Poland for the 2023 IEM Katowice. 31st January is the start date – there’s $1 million in prize money and 24 teams. We’re basically looking at an unofficial Major here with Katowice.
It’s a fairly big event, despite the fact Relog Media isn’t exactly a household name in the CS:GO production business. There’s $250,000 in the prize pool, 16 top-notch teams, and a LAN environment that’s bound to create a chaotic mix. So yeah, all in all, you shouldn’t sleep on LAN Sweet LAN in January next year.
