Since the launch of Dota 2 publisher Valve reported an immense increase of players just recently exceeding the 5 million mark of unique players on steam. One of the reasons for the huge popularity of Dota 2 is definitely the big tournament “The International” which prize pool rapidly increased over the last months standing now by more than 2.8 Million Dollars. The Winner of The International will take home more than 1.4 Million dollars in prize money and the props of the whole Dota 2 Scene.

The bookie Pinnacle will offer Dota 2 bets for all of the games of the International. For some of the matches handicap bets will be available too. When placing a handicap bet the team with + 1.5 only needs to win one game in the best of 3 series for the bet to be successful. On the other hand the team with -1.5 needs to win the first two games. The International Tournament Info
The big Tournament is starting this Wednesday, August 7th and will end with the Grand Finals on Sunday August 11th. All of the matches will be played in a best of 3 series except for the Grand Final on Sunday where the winner of the International will be battled out in an epic best of 5. The tournament takes places in Seattle’s Benaroya Hall, USA and can be streamed on the official Dota 2 website or directly in the Dota 2 game client.
