This is one of the most important tips in betting; every successful bettor has learned the art of managing and maintaining their bankroll. Smart bettors don't go all in on one wager; rather, they play several smaller wagers and try to win regularly. Making sure you don't lose all of your money on a single bet is the cornerstone of any bankroll management strategy.
The primary purpose of betting is to win, and this can only be done by taking the value of every wager into account. No matter how juicy the odds look, don't be in a rush to bet on it. Calculate each odd through and check for those that offer the most value. The more doubtful the odds seem, the greater their potential value. Cross-check the probabilities before deciding on any wager.
Most esports betting sites provide a variety of welcome bonuses, free bets, and other promotions. These are an excellent foundation to experiment on your bets and test your bankroll.
Many esports bettors favour live betting, and for good reason—it gives much more control over the risks and betting experience. Live betting ensures you can place bets based on the match's current dynamics and even place counter bets if your initial wagers are losers. This almost always guarantees that you win significantly more frequently than you lose.
There is always the temptation to only place bets on tournament favourites. Although this is an excellent tactic, underdogs offer the best value in betting odds because favourites frequently attract a lot of attention from punters, which drives down their odds to a point where betting on them becomes unprofitable.
Do not limit your wagers to the favourites only. Betting on the underdogs has a lot of potential value, and those brave enough to do so could experience big wins.
