It’s been a long time since WePlay organized their famous Dota 2 tournament in the CIS region. The Seson 2 of WePlay Dota 2 took place when Na’Vi and Alliance were the big ones, in 2013. A lot has changed since then, and it doesn’t seem like the Ukrainian team has the same chances of making it to the finals. This Season 3 comes three years later with a $200,000 prize pool that will be divided between the 8 participants according to their finishing place.

Dota 2 | WePlay Dota 2 Season 3| Teams:
For the first time in many years we have two SEA teams competing in the same small tournament. This is thanks to the direct invitation that MVP Phoenix got after winning Dota Pit Season 4 and finishing 4th in the Shanghai Major. Together with Fnatic, who won the SEA region qualifications, they are now considered top tier teams. This makes things more interesting since another good region brings more competition and makes everything harder for the well-established teams.
Here are the 8 participating teams:
- 4 Invited
- Evil Geniuses
- MVP Phoenix
- Team Spirit
- 4 Qualified
- Western Europe: Team Liquid
- Eastern Europe: Vega Squadron
- Americas: Elite Wolves
- SEA: Fnatic
WePlay Dota 2 Season 3 | Main Event:
The Main Event will consist of a double-elimination bracket. The first round of the Lower Bracket will be a Bo1 in which the teams will have to give their best strategies to throw off their rivals, as they won’t have another opportunity. However, the rest of the matches will be Bo3, except for the Bo5 finals.
