The Summit 4| Dota 2

The Summit has been one of the most entertaining tournaments for Dota 2 fans. In this small championship, 8 teams will compete in a LAN event that will take place in a small house in Los Angeles. The Summit 4 holds the best players in the world hanging out in a house playing Nintendo while they wait for the next game. This makes this tournament, which has a relatively small starting prize pool, more entertaining for viewers. The prize pool starts at $100,000 but will grow with crowdfunding through the DotaTV tickets and an upcoming compendium. The LAN event will take place from 9th to 13th December in California, United States.

Dota 2 | The Summit 4 | Teams:

The 8 spots for the tournament will be determined as follow:

  • 1 Invited team (Evil Geniuses)
  • 2 European Qualifier
  • 2 Chinese Qualifier
  • 1 American Qualifier
  • 1 SEA Qualifier
  • 1 Redemption Vote

The Qualifiers are over. Here are the winners:

Evil Geniuses (America) | Digital Chaos (America) | Team Liquid (Europe) | OG (Europe) | Vici Gaming (China) | EHOME (China) |

The Redemption Vote is still open. The loser teams from the Qualifiers will have another chance to assist the event by getting voted by fans.

This is a good opportunity to see teams like Liquid and DC proving they can do better. They’ve been struggling to qualify for a LAN event, but they have finally made it. We’ll see ex-EG player Aui_2000 go against his old teammates. This is certainly an interesting tournament to watch, as there will be lots of fun moments like in the previous seasons.
