The International (TI4) is the biggest Dota 2 event in 2014. The main event of the eSports event ist taking place in Seattle (US) from July 18th until July 21st 2014. The world’s top 16 Dota teams will compete for an enormous prize money (at the moment over 10 million $ and still counting) in this years Dota 2 highlight. 11 teams are invited directly while the 5 other teams will have to fight through a qualifier in order to secure their spot in the biggest Dota 2 tournament so far. If you want to watch the International 2014 live: Ticket sale started already on April 4th 2014. We will keep you updated! If course Valve will offer several channels to watch the matches of the International via live stream or directly on Steam. The action starts on July 8th with the Wildcard tournament and ends on July 21st.

The International TI4 | Teams
16 teams from all around the world will compete for the huge prize pool as well as bragging rights to be the winner of the biggest Dota 2 tournament in 2014. 11 teams have been invited directly to the TI4, another 4 teams have directly qualified through the 4 regional qualifiers. The last team that will compete in the Dota 2 International 2014 will be determined with the Play-In before the tournament. One of the 4 runner ups of the regional qualifiers gets to chance to join the other 15 teams in their fight for more than 8 million dollars.

The International 2014 Qualifiers
4 regions are having a tournament in order to complete the line up of the TI 4 tournament this July 2014. The winner of each regional qualifier will go directly to the International while the runner up’s of all 4 regional tournaments will get a second chance during the Play-Ins before the main tournament of the Dota 2 tournament starts.

The International is running through 3 phases before the acutal main event takes place at the Keyarena. The tournament kicks off with the Wildcard tournament before heading to a 16 teams group stage wich is running over 4 days. Prize Money | Compendium
Valve has sponsored the inital prize money of $ 1,600,000 for the TI 4. The prize money for the 2014 International is more over increased by $ 2.50 for every Compendium sold in the Dota 2 Steam Shop. At the moment (05/20/2014) the total prize money has already exceeded the 10 Million Dollar mark – this is the highest prize money in the history of competitive eSports for a single event!
