ESL One New York 2015 will be the first LAN competition after the International 2015 and the first big test on the road to the new Fall Major Tournament at Frankfurt. This will be the first time we will be seeing some of the newly shuffled teams against each other in a LAN setting. Now that the qualifiers are over and we have finally completed the list of participants. The ESL One New York is a much shorter tournament compared to the International. Eight Dota 2 teams ( 4 invited / 4 qualified) will fight over a prize pool of about $250.000. There are no group stages and there are no lower brackets on this one. We start with directly with the quarterfinals and each match will be a best of three. Losers will be immediately eliminated. The grand finals will be a best of five affair. The last ESL One tournament was won by Team Secret over the Evil Geniuses. No doubt Evil Geniuses will be looking for some payback specially since they are playing on home soil.

Day 1 Recap — Day 2 Predictions
Dota 2 | ESL ONE NY 2015 | Teams:
No surprises on the teams invited. After a great showing in the International, CDEC gaming seems to be on everyone's list these days. But it will be the first time we will be seeing them in action after the International. Same with the Evil Geniuses, it will be the first matches after kicking out aui_2000 for Arteezy. Seeding was determined by the ESL One New York people and it is at follows.
Evil Geniuses | Team Secret | Virtus Pro | CDEC
Fnatic (SEA) | Vega Squadron (EU) | Fire (NA) | IG (Chinese)
Update: EHOME has been replaced with IG due to Visa problems of EHOME
It will be the debut of the revamped Team Secret with Puppey the only surviving member. He will be joined by former C9 member EternalEnvy with PieLieDie, Misery and Romanian standout w33haa. CDEC and Virtus.pro might have been invited due to their strong showing at this years The International. Most people would be looking at the current best team in the world Evil Geniuses. Who kick Aui_2000 barely a week after winning The International and replacing him with former member Arteezy. It certainly looks like the first major tournament of the new season is going to be interesting to say the least.

ESL One Open Qualifier for Europe and South East Asia
The post-ti shuffle is now in full swing. Teams may not have a complete roster for a few weeks until the September deadline. There always is a lull between the next major tournament. Your Dota 2 fix might just come from the ESL One Open Qualifiers.
ESL One New York is the next major tournament and the open qualifiers for the Europe and South East Asian regions are now open. The defending champs of ESL One New York is Vici Gaming, although their line-up has pretty much stayed the same since they won, being defending champions and a 4th place finish during the International 2015 pretty much assures them of a direct invite.
The South East Asian qualifiers will be held on August 22, 2015 and will start at 13:00 GMT +6. The European qualifiers will start on August 22, 2015 at 10:00 CEST. All games will be a best of one affair until the final 16 teams are determined. The final 16 teams will now clash in best of three matches. There will be 3 slots available to the main qualifier for the European region and 4 slots available to the main qualifier for the South East Asian region. As of writing there have been 120 teams that have signed up for the European qualifiers and 60 teams for the South East Asian qualifiers. The sign-up links are below:
