After the success of the International 2013, more and more Dota 2 tournaments have popped up in the scene including the Fragbite Masters 2013. The Fragbite Masters 2013 will be held in Sweden. Top teams all over the world will also get a chance to win the title and the cash prize as well since the tournament organizers have invited more than 16 top teams from all over the world to participate and duke it out with the teams from the region. Dota 2 is slowly inching its way to challenge the top teams from all over the world and battle it out with the Fragbite Masters 2013. The qualifying matches have been played and over 32 teams have met in the battleground. After an intense week of tournaments, only 16 teams qualified for the first Group Stage. The First Group Stage will have these 16 qualified teams to battle it out against 16 invited teams. All of the teams are placed in 8 groups with 4 teams each. Each group will battle it out and only 2 of the top teams for each group will advance to the Second Group Stage. The First Group Stage will be played on October 21, 22, 23, and 24. The games will be played in double elimination.
The Second Group Stage will played on October 28, 29, 30, 31, and November 1. The 16 teams emerging from the First Group Stage will be once again divided into 4 groups of 4 teams. The top 2 teams for each group will advance out of the Group Stage and into the Finals. All games in the Second Group Stage will be Double Elimination Best of 3 matches.
During the Qualifiers only 14 teams were able to come through due to some unavoidable circumstances and now the invited team has been inflated to 18 teams to match the designated number of teams in the Group Stage.
Playoffs od the Dota 2 Fragbite Masters will then be played by the top 4 teams on December 11 with a single elimination bracket and best of 3 format. This will determine who will be the Fragbite Masters 2013 Dota 2 Champions. With a total cash prize pool of $31,100, teams must compete and bring out the best in all of their matches for them to get a chance to make it into the professional gaming scene especially for those who won the Qualifiers.
