Dota 2 Champions League Season 4

Dota 2 Champions League Season 4 is an invite only tournament which will culminate in the Dreamhack Masters in Bucharest, Romania. There were supposed to be 3 qualifying regions to determine the 4 teams who will be in the lan finals in Romania. The organizers (Dreamz Media Ltd.) decided to forego the Chinese qualifiers due to scheduling issues and have dropped the Chinese qualifiers and have given the final lan slot to a European team.

American Qualifiers

The European qualifiers will be a double elimination, best of 3 match and all the games from the semi-finals onwards will be best of 5. The American qualifiers, since they have a smaller team pool, will be a single round robin, best of 2 format with each map win equaling 1 point. The top 4 teams will advance to the playoffs.

The lan finals, which will be held in Bucharest, Romania will feature 4 teams and will be a double elimination, best of 3 tournament. The grand finals will be a best of 5 match.

The Dota 2 Champions League initial prize pool is $50,000 and the prize pool will increase by $2.50 for every Dota 2 Champions League ticket sold. As of September 27, 2014 the prize pool has ballooned up to $72,610.

3rd – 15% – $7,500

4th – 10% – $5,000
