Asus ROG Dreamleague Season 2

Season 2 of the Asus ROG Dreamleague is now underway. After a great 1st season, Asus ROG Dreamleague has stepped it up in terms of the tournament format and teams. Teams that have not been invited to the Asus ROG Dreamleague now have a chance to join the tournament via the uninvited teams qualifiers. The qualifiers were divided into four division were held last October 6 to 19, 2014. The top team in each division advanced to the next phase of the tournament.

The next phase of the tournament will be a best of one match against each team in the four divisions. The divisions and their teams are:

Europe East

Europe West

  • Alliance
  • Fnatic
  • Tinker
  • 4 Anchors + Sea Captain

North America

  • Cloud 9
  • Evil Geniuses
  • Sneaky Nyx Assassins

  • LGD Gaming
  • MVP Phoenix
  • Rave

Natus Vincere and Team Malaysia was originally invited to the tournament but both teams decided to cancel their participation. Natus Vincere was replaced by and Team Malaysia was replaced by Rave in their respective brackets.

The top two teams from each bracket will advance to the next part of the Asus ROG Dreamleague Season 2. The next part will be an offline tournament which will be held at the Monster Energy Dreamhack studios. The matches will be best of two and will be held on the November 17 to 23, 2014. The top 6 teams will advance to the LAN Playoffs.

The final phase of the Asus ROG Dreamleague is a LAN event that will be held at the Dreamhack Winter 2014. It will be divided into 2 parts. The first part will be the bottom 4 teams from the previous phase in a double elimination bracketing system. The bottom 2 teams will be eliminated and the top 2 teams will advance to the second part of the LAN playoffs. The final part of the Asus ROG Dreamleague Season 2 will involve the top 2 teams from the 2nd phase and the top two teams from the 1st part.
