Team Liquid suffering from a tough defeat

Team Liquid CSGO LogoTeam Liquid was playing pretty well at the start of this tournament, beating Gambit 16-10 and Cloud9 2-0 (16-11 and 16-12). And then, when we all thought they’ll make a huge win against Astralis, they threw the second map and couldn’t come back in the third after a promising 1-0 lead in the series. Now, the question is whether or not they can pull themselves back together and get back to victories against NiP. If they can, I believe they’ll be a force to be reckoned with later in the semifinals.

NiP conquered the lower bracket rounds

North proved to be too big of a cookie for NiP in the Round 1 Group B match. NiP fell short of the win with 10-16 and a brilliant match from Valde. However, they met again yesterday and NiP improved their tactics and deservedly won 2-1 after falling behind 1-0. With their third win in a row, they completed a massive achievement and won the lower bracket finals, securing a place in the playoffs. Team morale is sky high, GeT_RiGhT is improving his form through the matches and NiP, honestly speaking here, look like the better team than Team Liquid at the moment.

This is going to be a beauty

One thing is for sure – Team Liquid vs NiP Quarterfinals match is going to be a beauty. With NiP fuming with confidence after securing their playoffs spot through the lower bracket rounds and, hopefully, with Team Liquid looking to set the records straight after a tough defeat – this match will definitely be a charming one. I doubt there will be a blowout on any side so it will probably be decided on the third map. With that being said, Bet365 has a special bet for Total Maps over/under along with pretty good odds so it’s might worth checking out.

As for the actual outcome, it all depends on how Team Liquid reacts after their defeat against Astralis. If they manage to lift their morale and find that last bit of motivation that was lacking yesterday, I’m sure they’ll be up for the challenge. But, even though Team Liquid is the bookies’ favorite to win, I believe NiP will surprise them and take the win. On the wings of their outstanding lower bracket matches, I don’t see any other way for this match to end. Do you agree with me?
