Nonetheless, the whole betting process doesn’t differ too much from how you’d bet on other CSGO Esports tournaments or even other Esports games. Some more good news about Malta Vibes is that it’s not a singular event; there are a couple of them throughout the year.
Right now, we’re on Malta Vibes Knockout Series #5 but more on that later. Here’s how the betting process works:
The preliminary betting process should be complete by this point but let’s take a deeper look into some CSGO betting specifics that apply to Malta Vibes betting as well.
Without overcomplicating things, betting markets are simply the types of bets you can place on a given match. The ordinary betting markets are usually the same across all Esports games, whilst special bets can differ wildly. Here are the ones you can expect to see with CSGO betting:
Although it’s expected that most betting odds will be of similar nature across all betting operators, it’s still best if you don’t rush into it. Just because one bookie has inviting odds doesn’t mean another one can’t have even better ones.
Before making your account and placing your bets, always compare what odds are offered across a few bookies you like. This way, you’ll always be sure that the odds you’re betting with are the best ones.
CSGO is an intricate game but even more so when Esports is concerned. There are multiple metrics that are used to evaluate a team’s chances of winning, as well as player performance. The ones that are often used in betting are map wins, pistol round wins, and more.
As far as player performance is concerned, statistics that are important are kills, assists, deaths, headshot percentage, and K/D ratio. Keep in mind though that these are irrelevant for betting markets and are best used as a reference for player performance analysis.
Malta Vibes is a Malta Esports CSGO tournament. The first iteration of this event was in 2020, but back then it was known as the Eden Arena Malta Vibes Cup. The Malta Vibes Cup consisted of 10 series happening from the end of June 2020 until early September 2020.
In 2021 and part of 2022 however, we’ll be seeing the Malta Vibes Knockout Series. It’s worth noting that the tournament has already started with 4 previous Knockout Series being concluded. The next event in line is the Malta Vibes Knockout Series 5.

Lastly, Malta Vibes is a B-Tier CSGO Esports tournament which means it falls in the middle of the prestige ladder. These lower-tier tournaments provide inexperienced and new teams to test their mettle against some of the best teams in the world.
One great example of this are the week 4 and week 5 Eden Arena Malta Vibes Cup which saw Gambit Youngsters win both events. Currently, they are ranked as the 3rd best team in the world and have been at the top ever since.
Even so, this tournament is a big achievement for Malta Esports and as such, we might see it transition into A-Tier in the foreseeable future.
Since its inception, we’ve had 14 instances of the Malta Vibes tournament. The prize pools haven’t changed much but the number of participating teams has. Because of this, each Malta Vibes event was prolonged to accommodate the extra matches played.
Some teams have managed to win a Malta Vibes Esports event more than once, including forZe (3) and Gambit Youngsters (2). All other teams have one tournament win to their name.
The original Malta Vibes Cup had a format that we all know and love – group stage into playoffs. However, with the introduction of the Knockout Series, the format has changed as well. Some might argue the format is worse while others love it.
But one thing is for sure – this is one of the biggest single-elimination brackets in Esports! The format is as follows:
Playoffs
The Malta Vibes Knockout Series 5 prize pool is the same as it was in previous iterations – $50,000. With 40 teams participating, only 24 will be eligible to win part of the prize pool. It is divided as follows:
*The numbers in the brackets signify how many teams receive the displayed amount.
The Malta Vibes Knockout Series 5 will feature 40 teams battling for the grand prize. However, the participating teams have not yet been announced. As soon as they are, we will update this section of the guide to include some teams.
Even so, here’s a brief overview of the previous Knockout Series winners!
Copenhagen Flames are the most recent team to win a Malta Vibes tournament. They’re currently ranked as the 15th best CSGO team and have been slowly improving throughout the year. However, their peak was at 9th position, in November 2021.
The team consists of HooXi, nicoodoz, roej, jabbi, and Zyphon.

1WIN was the biggest surprise in recent times regarding Malta Vibes performances. The team won the Knockout Series 2 being one of the slight underdogs, considering their highest ever ranking was #27. Unfortunately, they’ve dropped off somewhat and are now 40th in the world rankings.
Polt, TRAVIS, glowiing, deko, and Ravenlot play for 1WIN.

The organizers themselves (Eden Esports) are the largest Esports community and organization in Malta. Them having this tournament brought to light is a big deal for Malta Esports.
In the end, Malta Vibes is not only an impressive Esports tournament, but a great place to start with CSGO betting. Bookies offer plenty of choices and betting markets and the odds are very good as well. So good luck and remember – place calculated and smart bets!
Malta Vibes is a monthly B-Tier CSGO tournament organized by Eden Esports and sponsored by Visit Malta, Pinnacle, Hellcase, and GRID.
Malta Vibes is a single-elimination type tournament with a $50,000 prize pool. Each event features 40 participating teams who are fighting for the grand prize of $16,000.
Copenhagen Flames and ECSTATIC have been incredible in the past Malta Vibes Knockout Series event, but Dignitas and MOUZ NXT are looking for first-time glory.
At this point, it’s anyone’s guess because the tournament is still pretty far away and we might end up with rosters moves.
Map winner bets generally have the best chances of winning because you can see which teams are strong on specific maps. A viable and rewarding alternative are outrights, although these can be difficult to win.
All the bookies we mentioned in this article are great choices. There are slight differences between them (such as the welcome bonus, odds, etc.) so it’s up to you to choose the one you prefer.
