Founded by a group of former executives at FaZe Clan, XSET is a small American esports organisation on the rise. With their VALORANT team set to compete at the VCT Masters Copenhagen, we thought it is a good time to discuss the XSET team, its history, and everything you need to know about XSET betting in 2025.
XSET was founded on July 16, 2020, by former FaZe Clan executives, and they soon announced a Fortnite roster, a PUBG Mobile Roster, a Rocket League roster, and a VALORANT team, followed by an all-female Counter-Strike: Global Offensive squad, and a Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship team.
While the organization did not compete much in the uneventful (in terms of esports) 2021, they are now coming into their own, with particular attention to their VALORANT team that competes in VCT North America. While they had an excellent PUBG Mobile team, this was disbanded in late 2022.
XSET looks to be a mainstay in the newly emerging esport VALORANT. They recently became the VCT North America Stage 2 Challengers Champions and look to be one of the better sides coming in to the VCT Masters Copenhagen tournament.

The squad consisting of AYRIN (Jordan He, USA), BcJ (a former professional Apex Legends player, Brendan Jensen, USA), dephh (Rory Jackson, UK), zekken (Zachary Patron, USA) and Cryocells (Matthew Panganiban, USA) will definitely have their hands full, as they face of the world’s best, including the likes of Fnatic, FunPlus Phoenix, and OpTic Gaming.

The current lineup at XSET Apex Legends consists of four US players: Clane (Charles Lane, USA), Keni (Kenan Colakovic, USA), and Mrhackulo (Josh Nguyen, USA). So far, they have only competed in about a dozen tournaments, with a second place at the JBL Quantum Cup in late 2021 as their best result.

XSET R6 consists of DiasLucasBr (Lucas Dias, Brazil), GMZ (Arthur Oliveira , Brazil), Kyno Leonard Figueiredoo, Brazil), SpiriTz (Zachary Dionne, Canada), and Yoggah (Evan Nelson, United States).
While this team has few matches under its belt, they already placed 5 – 8th at S-Tier Six Charlotte Major in 2022. Look for them to build on that momentum as they start challenging more established teams.

XSET Halo primarily competes in HCS North America, with a few minor wins early in 2022 to their name. This squad hasn’t really caught the attention of esports bettors yet, though we hope Suspector (Ayden Hill, USA), and Artic (Uriah Legorreta, USA) will develop into a more competitive squad.

XSET PUBG Mobile was doing well in the PUBG Mobile Pro League, which is why it came as a surprise to most that this team was being disbanded in June 2022.
Today we announce our departure from PUBG Mobile Esports. We are incredibly proud of how our team performed over their last two seasons under XSET and we want to wish them nothing but the best moving forward. pic.twitter.com/azPvoyE3TD — XSET (@XSET) June 3, 2022

When betting on XSET, any other team, or any other esport for that matter, it is important to keep a few basic principles of esports betting in mind.
Bankroll management is a very important skill for any punter. The basics of any bankroll management strategy is of course that you don’t lose your whole bankroll on a single bet. To be a smart bettor, you need to consistently win smaller bets, instead of hopefully one big one.
Whereas betting on XSET odds may seem beneficial, you should always consider the value in them. Do they reflect the real probability, or do they seem off? The more wrong they seem to you, the more value, potentially.
At most esports betting sites, you can find plenty of welcome offers, such as bonuses, free bets, etc. These can be a good start to your bankroll.
Betting live on esports lets you have more control over your betting experience. That way, you can often bet depending on the dynamics of a specific match and even place counter bets if you see your original bets losing.
While favourites betting is a valid strategy, the underdogs usually have the best value, the most famous or established teams get all the attention from betters, driving down the price, till it sometime is no longer worth betting.

XSET still has a long way to go, but XSET betting could have plenty of value, particularly in their role as underdogs. After their VALORANT team became the North America Stage 2 Challengers Champions, we expect big things from them in the next years. Look for several upsets as they will likely pose a challenge to more established squads.
We recommend 1xBet, bet365, and Betway for betting on VALORANT, R6 or Rocket League.
XSET fields teams in Rocket League, VALORANT, HALO, Apex Legends, R6 and Call of Duty: Mobile World. Their PUBG Mobile team was disbanded in 2022.
As always, as long as esports betting is not illegal in your country, you can freely bet at licensed betting sites.
