Preview and Predictions LCS NA Expansion – Round 2

Complexity - LoL Expansion Tournament NA: Team Logo Complexity Black vs. Final Five - LoL Team Logo Final Five
(Nov 22nd, 13:00 PST/ 16:00 EST/ 22:00 CET)

Final Five had a best-of-3 series against Zenith eSports. The series went on up to the 3rd game and Final Five won the series. In the 3rd game, the level 2 gank of ShorterACE’s Rengar in the middle lane allowed his teammate Gate’s Twisted Fate to snowball and carry the game. ShortACE’s Rengar also created some plays that allowed his teammates to secure a huge lead early in the game. Complexity Black is a new team that acquired the former roster of then Determined Gaming. They have a first round bye and this will be their first series in the Expansion Tournament.

Prediction: Although Complexity Black is a new team, its roster consists of veterans such as PR0LLY, ROBERTxLEE, and Bubbadub. Final Five is a prominent team in the NA ranked 5’s ladder. This series can go both ways, though Complexity Black is more heavily favored. Final Five showed great performance in their series against Zenith eSports and they need to perform that same kind of tenacity to beat Complexity Black.

Curse Academy - LoL Expansion Tournament Team Logo Curse Academy vs.  complexity White - LoL Team Logo Complexity White
(Nov 22nd, 15:00 PST/ 18:00 EST/ 24:00 CET)

Both teams are struggling to qualify for a spot in the LCS. Curse Academy has a first round bye and Complexity White will be their first opponent in this Expansion Tournament. Complexity White won their round 1 series against Monstar Kittenz. Complexity White dominated the Monstar Kittenz in their 3rd game. They acquired 26 kills and only 4 deaths, ending the game in less than 25 minutes.

Prediction: Curse Academy is more heavily favored to win because of its veteran players such as Saintvicious and Cop who both played for Curse Academy in the LCS North America Season 3 Spring Playoffs.

Team Coast - LoL Team Logo - small Team Coast vs. Team Coast - LoL Team Logo - small Team Coast
(Nov 23rd, 13:00 PST/ 16:00 EST/ 22:00 CET)

Team Coast and Team LoLPro both won their first round series against Call Gaming and Fission eSports respectively and they both won them in 2 games. Team Coast showcased their excellent strategy in the 2nd game of their series against Call Gaming, scoring 26 kills and only 7 deaths after ending the game in 35 minutes. Team LoLPro had a much more challenging 1st round series. They had a rough start in the 2nd game of their series against Fission eSports, going 0-2 in the scoreboard.

Prediction: Team Coast is likely to win against Team LoLPro, evident by the performance they showed in the 1st round series of the tournament.

Team Fusion - LoL Team Logo Team Fusion vs. Enemy eSports - LoL Team Logo Enemy Esports
(Nov 23rd, 15:00 PST/ 18:00 EST/ 24:00 CET)

Enemy eSports easily coursed through the first round series of the tournament, eliminating Noble Truth in the process. The first round series of Team Fusion led to Confusion eSports forfeiting the series and this gives Enemy eSports an advantage due to the momentum they had gained in their first round series against Noble Truth.

Prediction: Team Fusion is a relatively new team that was formed to compete in this Expansion Tournament. They are the 3rd team in the ranked 5’s ladder and are behind Enemy eSports. Although Team Fusion is a newly formed, four of its players such as Nientonsoh who played for Counter Logic Gaming in the 2014 NA LCS Spring Playoffs, are well-known and had played in different events and tournaments. This series could go 2-1 in favor of Team Fusion.
