Preview and Predictions LCS NA Week 9 Day 1

TSM vs XDG (March 22, 11:00PST/ 20:00 CET)

TSM continues to dominate the NA LCS with their four game sweep during the Superweek. TSM aims to reach a spot where they cannot be put to relegation even if they lose all the games for the remaining of the split and TSM has reached that. XDG on the other hand is at the other side of the spectrum as they need to win all the games from here on out if they want to get themselves out of the danger of being relegated. With the addition of Sheep as their new support, they have the ability to do such that but it might be a case of a bit too late for the team. Still, do not count XDG out yet as they were able to take a win from Cloud9, a team known to be very aggressive.

Prediction: TSM expands their lead with this win.

CRS vs DIG (March 22, 12:00PST/ 21:00 CET)

Curse pulled out a good record of getting three wins and one loss during the Superweek and this time they are trying to avoid relegation once more. Even with an illness, Voyboy was able to perform in top level when he pulled a Quadrakill and was supposed to get a penta have it not Cop flashed and stole the last kill. Even then, Curse was able to dominate the game and continued their streak that elevated them from the bottom of the pack back to the middle. Dignitas on the other hand also suffered a few losses during the Superweek. If Curse continues to perform well they might be able to surpass Dignitas but never count Dignitas out of the game yet since they provided a highly entertaining and close match against the indomitable Cloud9.

Prediction: Curse continues their dominance.

CST vs C9 (March 22, 13:00PST/ 22:00 CET)

Fresh from their experience at IEM Katowice, Cloud 9 fell short of bringing home the crown but nevertheless, they were able to show that the North American region still have one of the best teams that can go toe to toe with teams from the other side of the world. Cloud 9 showed dominance and aggression through careful map and objective control. Unfortunately, they were kicked out of the competition and as they return, they will surely apply the strategies that they have encountered during the tournament. Coast on the other hand has taken a week off from an abysmal Superweek and might pull out a few moves that will help them get off the 6th spot.

Prediction: Cloud 9 has learned a few tricks through their international experience.

EG vs CLG (March 22, 14:00PST/ 23:00 CET)

Evil Geniuses just can’t seem to get their things together but fortunately, Krepo was one of the analyst during the time in IEM Katowice and can easily gather enough information for them to practice and get things done during the last few weeks of the split. CLG meanwhile are on fire with their set of wins during the Superweek. Now, they will once again try to move up on the standings with another win against an ailing and failing Evil Geniuses.

Prediction: CLG proves to be the stronger team this time.

Preview and Predictions LCS NA Week 9 Day 2

TOP GAME OF THE WEEK

LCS NA Team TSMLCS NA Team DignitasTSM vs DIG

(March 23, 11:00PST/ 20:00 CET)

During the Superweek, TSM had replaced Bjergsen with the team’s former midlaner Reginald and had a great week by winning four wins and zero loss. TSM is slowly on their way in representing the North American region for the All-stars tournament by May. The thing about TSM now is that they are now a lock in for the playoffs since there are only around ten more games to play and even if they lose the games from here on out, they will still get to the playoffs. What they need to do now is to focus on sharpening their shotcalls and strategy so that they will not have problems during the Playoffs.

On the other hand, Dignitas should still continue to grind their way back to the top. Dignitas has had a few good weeks but after their time during IEM Sao Paolo, it seems that their luck was out and their drive to win games slowly drained away. Dignitas needs to find that thirst for blood once more if they plan on winning more games during the Playoffs and get the top spot.

Prediction: TSM take another win to secure themselves a spot at the Playoffs.

CST vs CLG (March 23, 12:00PST/ 21:00 CET)

Coast has once again proven to be a huge disappointment coming in the Spring Split. They have showed utter dominance during the Promotion Tournament but when the main split started, Coast suddenly shut down and were never able to come back from their losses. Standing at seven wins and thirteen losses, they are clearly in danger of being relegated and it can easily get to them if they are not careful with their matchup. Coast needs to step it up if they want to remain in the LCS in the more important Summer Split.

Prediction: CLG’s renewed energy sends Coast on an all time low.

XDG vs CRS (March 23, 13:00PST/ 22:00 CET)

Another team that has disappointed a lot of fans is XDG. The former Vulcun Techbargains and Season 3 World Championships representative have never recovered from their slump winning only five out of their twenty games so far. With only around 8 games to play including this week, XDG guarantees themselves a spot in the relegation and will face against some tough competition from the Challenger Series like LMQ. Curse on the other hand will most likely edge out another win in this match.

Prediction: Curse gets another point sending them to the top.

C9 vs EG (March 23, 14:00PST/ 23:00 CET)

This week will be a match of the teams from the top of the standings against those that are at the bottom. EG will get themselves a front row seat when Cloud 9 returns from their experience at IEM Katowice. They get their firsthand experience on what Cloud 9 has learned from fighting against top caliber teams like KT Bullets and World Elite. Evil Geniuses will have to accept the fact that they will need to fight for their lives once more in the relegation tournament.

Prediction: EG fans will most likely be disappointed this split.
