Preview and Predictions LCS NA Week 10 Day 1
DIG vs EG (March 29, 11:00PST/ 20:00 CET)
Scarra has officially step down as the midlane player for Dignitas and it might hurt the entire Dignitas roster. The team will have to learn new strategies and adapt to the playstyle of their new midlane player in order to be able to win games. This will be a very difficult game for Dignitas but fortunately, it is also still unclear that EG would be back to their full roster this week. This might be a good time for Dignitas to test their new midlane player and see where they go from there.
Prediction: Dignitas still has a more solid lineup than EG making the game tilt on their side.
TOP Game of Week 10
CLG vs. TSM
(March 29, 12:00PST/ 21:00 CET)
TSM is sitting pretty at the top spot in the standings. With the return of Bjergsen last week, they reverted back to their usual dominating self and destroyed the teams that dared to face them at the Summoner’s Rift. Now, they will be facing against another team that has surged back to its prime with CLG. TSM will have to understand that CLG is keeping their bot lane duo as safe as possible. This means that they are the team’s secret weapon thus TSM needs to camp the bot lane or wherever CLG takes their bot lane. Bjergsen needs to focus his fire on Doublelift and shut him down so that they will have a good chance of winning the game.
CLG, on the other hand, will have a lot in their hands in this match against TSM. CLG’s Dexter will have to keep Bjergsen busy by camping the mid lane so that he cannot roam around to kill Doublelift. Aphromoo will have to keep his eyes wide open for ganks and save Doublelift every time an onslaught of attacks come from TSM. If they are able to keep off wave after wave of aggression from TSM and put the game into hyperdrive during the late game then they are at an advantage. CLG loves to play at the late game where things are at a high risk high reward situation. If CLG can execute this very well, then they stand a chance of winning this game.
Prediction: Too difficult to predict as both teams have earned their reputation of being two of the best teams in the NA region.
CST vs XDG (March 29, 13:00PST/ 22:00 CET)
Coast have elevated their standings during the last few weeks but will it be enough to get them out of the spot for relegation? Coast is in trouble and it is very clear that Coast will need to win more games to get themselves out of the spot they are currently in. Fortunately, you have XDG who seemed to have accepted the fact that they will facing stronger teams from the Coke Zero Challenger Series. This match might make things interesting for Coast if they are able to win. They will have to do better with their match from now on and hope that Curse or any other team will falter and replace them at the standings.
Prediction: Coast find themselves in a peculiar position if they win this match.
CRS vs C9 (March 29, 14:00PST/ 23:00 CET)
Curse is currently tied with Dignitas right now at 9 wins and 13 losses. If Dignitas wins their match, then it is up to Curse to tie it up with Dignitas by winning this match against Cloud 9. But, the thing is, Curse has never won a match against Cloud 9 and the team will continue to follow this trend. With the revolving doors of new team members, Curse has had a tough time finding their footing in this game and it clearly shows. If Curse follows through this time with Bunny Fuufuu then they can finally practice cohesively as a team and duke their way against one of the best teams of the region.
Prediction: Cloud 9 wins this match.
Preview and Predictions LCS NA Week 10 Day 2
CLG vs XDG (March 30, 12:00PST/ 21:00 CET)
CLG continues to dominate the LCS at the third position but will they be able to surpass Cloud 9 and TSM in the standings? Well, they do have the ability to grab the top spot in the coming last weeks of the Spring Split. Link and Nien are stable players while Dexter has surpassed expectations. The Rush Hour Duo of Aphromoo and Doublelift have excelled everytime they are given the chance. They have always been given the burden to farm up and avoid getting killed at every chance but better teams have found their strategy and have shut them down. If their synergy tightens up further, then they are on their way to representing the region.
Prediction: CLG furthers their points and are on their way to the top.
CRS vs TSM (March 30, 13:00PST/ 22:00 CET)
Curse continues to slump with their recent matches. Coming from the middle of the pack, they have slipped down to being in the relegation zone once more in this last few weeks. Will they be able to get back up and avoid relegation? It seems difficult. It will be a tough climb for them if they want Dignitas to take the fall instead of them. Although there is still a chance that Dignitas will be placed in the relegation zone, it will still be up to them to win matches from now on. The problem now is that they’ll be facing the top team of the split – TSM. TSM is a team with a few flaws and they are great at hiding it as well. Will Curse ever get back to their greatness? Time can only tell.
C9 vs DIG (March 30, 14:00PST/ 23:00 CET)
It seems that Cloud 9 and Dignitas have always been paired against each other but it also seems like Dignitas’ win against Cloud 9 was just a fluke. After their resurgence at the first few weeks of the split, Dignitas found themselves asking how they were able to beat Cloud 9 and then started questioning themselves how they can beat them again. Everytime both teams are pitted against each other, Dignitas takes a beating aside from their decisive win. Dignitas is surely scratching their head but it takes no genius to know that Cloud 9 is a better and more cohesive team than Dignitas. Their synergy as well as their experience playing with each other are far more superior than the older team. This makes them a very good team.
Prediction: Dignitas takes another beating and are in danger of being relegated.
EG vs CST (March 30, 15:00PST/ 24:00 CET)
These two teams have suffered enough during this split. Coast knows that they need to put more effort in their bottom lane in order to win more games while EG needs to put more effort into everything just to win more games. This game can be a straightup win for Coast if they are able to snowball the top and mid lane. EG may not have the players for this week there haven’t been any update with their visa issues yet but they are more likely to be back this week to turn the tables around Coast.
Prediction: EG takes this one.
