Preview and Predictions LCS EU Week 3 Day 1
ALL vs ROC (June 5 09:00 PDT/ 12:00 EDT/ 18:00 CEST)
Alliance currently holds the title as the best team in Europe right now and they have earned the spot after a disastrous first weeks last split. By the time the playoffs rolled in, Alliance found their footing and it has become one amazing Cinderella tale for them. Alliance quickly knew what to do when faced against tougher teams like SK and Fnatic and slowly climbed to perfection. Last week, their games all boiled down as to who can farm the best and it was Alliance who got on top once more. Tabzz holds the record for top GPM last week with 420 while having a KDA ratio of 8.5. This meant that Tabzz was farming quickly for late game and then crushed all of their opponents with all the items he has acquired from that gold. Needless to say, Alliance will surely dominate Roccat once more in the first game of the week.
Prediction: Alliance takes out Roccat burying the team 1-6.
SK vs MIL (June 5 10:00 PDT/ 13:00 EDT/ 19:00 CEST)
Millenium started out the split strong but the second week proved to be dysmal to the team. Millenium found themselves winless during the second week of the LCS. Against a tough team like SK Gaming, Millenium will need to exert extra effort on their part in order to get things done by the end of the day. When comparing both AD carries, SK Gaming’s CandyPanda has far more superior stats than Creaton. On average, Creaton has more gold than CandyPanda but it does not translate well to kills for Creaton as CandyPanda has an average of 3.67 champions killed per game compared to Creaton’s 3.5. Meanwhile at the mid lane, Jesiz might have a problem when facing Kerp as he is by far more superior at getting kills than Jesiz. Kerp has an average of 5.67 champions killed per game compared to Jesiz’s 4.83 but the average KDA is the other way around. Kerp only has 3.3 while Jesiz has 4.83. This ultimately means that Kerp is far more interested in getting the kills to himself while Jesiz lets the others do it hence getting a larger KDA ratio than the former. By far, SK Gaming will have to once again pull the game longer and make it to the late game in order to get ahead of Millenium. Millenium’s problem now is when will they step it up and avoid getting SK to late game.
Prediction: If SK gets to late game, Millenium is done for.
SHC vs FNC (June 5 11:00 PDT/ 14:00 EDT/ 20:00 CEST)
Last split, it would seem that Fnatic was the overall better team and that Supa Hot Crew was one of the newer teams to be relegated at the bottom of the pack. But, times have changed. Fnatic is now at the bottom while Supa Hot Crew has finished off the second week of the LCS at the second position. Supa Hot Crew is having their all time high last week with SELFIE being one of the top performers of the week. SELFIE has the highest average gold per game with 18k and the second top gold earners with 412 per minute not to mention their AD carry MrRalleZ tails him in third place. This goes to show how much Supa Hot Crew has improved over the break and is slowly getting their pace. It may took them a bit of time to do so but they are surely on their way to getting their. Will they be able to beat Fnatic this time around? It sure does look good. However, Fnatic is still good even at their worse performance. That is how good Fnatic is. Rekkles takes the top KDA this week with 9.2 and is one of the consistent farmers in the game. His teammates might not get the right amount of items in time but he sure does bring out consistent damage that cause hurt to their opponents. If Fnatic can come together once more then they are in a good position to run down Supa Hot Crew.
Prediction: Supa Hot Crew might have a few mishaps in this game but expect a good fight from them as Fnatic will be able to bounce back with a win against them.
CW vs GMB (June 5 12:00 PDT/ 15:00 EDT/ 21:00 CEST)
A lot is at stake for both teams. Tied at 2-4 in the standings, both teams need to win this game in order to move out from the bottom of the pack. Gambit’s stats have improved a lot since the first week from having a disappointing 1.27 KDA ratio as a team to 3.94. This goes to show that Gambit is getting comfortable with NiQ as their midlaner as they have extended his time in the team. Gambit has full faith that NiQ has got what it takes to fill in the role that was vacated by Alex Ich. But, will it be enough against another struggling team like Copenhagen Wolves? It all boils down to who wants it. Gambit Gaming needs to step up and cause more trouble in the Rift before the Wolves start munching on them. Both teams are not far behind each other in last week’s KDA including every other stats but the problem is, both teams have trouble closing out games.
Prediction: Whoever has the opportunity to close out games as quickly as possible will get the chance to win the game. Both are dead even at this point.
Preview and Predictions LCS EU Week 3 Day 2
GMB vs SK (June 6 09:00 PDT/ 12:00 EDT/ 18:00 CEST)
Gambit is lost right now. They seem to be running around in circles with their current standing. Gambit might have the edge this time against SK as it seemed to be that Gambit has far superior KDA than SK Gaming in the second week. Gambit has 3.94 while SK has 3.53. Although gold is far better for SK, it did not translate well to kill and assists mainly because they got dominated in one of their games. It seems that SK Gaming would have to practice a lot of early game aggression and kills since Diamond seem to be happy farming up rather than ganking a lot these days. Diamond has a KDA of only 1.3 with 146.67 minions killed against Svenskeren’s 3.86 KDA and 124 minions killed. This goes to show that Diamond is more fond of counterjungling and simply farming up for the team while the laners hold down the fort. This can be an advantage for SK right now as the enemy jungler is happily farming up they can start with the aggression and avoid swapping lanes as much as possible. It will also be good if they pick safe laners like Lucian and Ziggs in order to prevent the enemy from pushing towers and get more gold.
Prediction: If SK Gaming can do well early game, they can take the game from there on out and leave Gambit out in the cold open with another loss.
MIL vs CW (June 6 10:00 PDT/ 13:00 EDT/ 19:00 CEST)
It might not be a good week for the Copenhagen Wolves as Millenium will surely look to bounce back from a very bad second week in the LCS.
Prediction: The Wolves lose out once more.
TOP Game LCS EU Week 3
SHC vs ALL
(June 6 11:00 PDT/ 14:00 EDT/ 20:00 CEST)
With their two wins in the second week, Supa Hot Crew is looking very good coming into the third week. They beat out Alliance’s 4.47 with a KDA of 8.83 which is half of what Alliance has done with their two games. It looks like Alliance will have to step up their game if they want to maintain the top spot now that they have a team to beat this time. Alliance’s Tabzz has spent more time with destroying the enemy with his amazing 8.5 KDA than MrRalleZ 5.46. MrRallez has spent most of his time farming up for the late game mega teamfights as shown in his average minion kills of 387.5 against Tabzz’s 344.67 but it hasn’t translated well to champion kills as he only has an average of 5 whereas Tabzz has 6.17. MrRalleZ will need to step up his game from this week in order to get ahead of Tabzz. MrRalleZ needs to balance out farming and killing the enemy during the laning phase and this is where Impaler will be crucial.
Impaler would have to be ganking more often now that they are faced with a brutal Shook. Shook is known to countergank a lot and if Impaler is not careful in locating the enemy jungler then he will be useless the entire early game. Imapler should take a page out of Crumbz playbook. Get more wards to know where the enemy jungler is and start ganking. This is where his champion pool needs to expand. Lee Sin and Elise are the best junglers to get ahead early on. With their mobility and crowd control, Lee Sin and Elise are far better ganking junglers at the early game than any other junglers today. If Impaler can snag one and ban out the other, they have a stronger early game altogether. Once they have the gold to back up their items, they should then begin the hyperaggression and close out the game as early as possible before Tabzz and Froggen can catch up.
Prediction: It might be a bit intricate for Supa Hot Crew to play this game against the top team in the European LCS right now. Alliance gets another win.
FNC vs ROC (June 6 12:00 PDT/ 15:00 EDT/ 21:00 CEST)
Both teams have struggled immensely since the start of the Summer Split. But, only one team has experienced getting their feet back up again and it is Fnatic. Fnatic knows all too well how it feels to be down on their luck while Roccat is simply new to the experience. They may be able to get back up but will it be enough to land them a place outside of danger? Fnatic has been in this position time and time again and ultimately they were able to bounce back and even win the Spring Split. This will surely test how Roccat will be able to get their act together.
Prediction: Fnatic gets a win.
