It's been a long time since ELEAGUE Major Atlanta took place but I'm sure plenty of you still remember some of those awesome matches. For those of you who don't, I'll bring you back to your senses – Astralis won the tournament and took home the $500,000 grand prize after beating Virtus.pro in the finals. It was a hectic matchup that ended 2-1 in favor of Astralis after thrilling 88 rounds of pure CSGO fun. Yup, only 2 rounds went unplayed. Virtus.pro actually took the lead on Nuke with 16-12 but lost 16-14 on Overpass and Train. So, undoubtedly, this is going to be one of the best Counter-Strike: GO tournaments in a while… But, enough about that…
Now, let's turn our focus towards CSGO ELEAGUE Major Boston 2018 as there are several different characteristics awaiting. In addition to current teams with legend and challenger status, there will also be 8 participating teams who won minor tournaments. There's no question that there will be plenty of eSports betting options to go around!
So, instead of having 16 teams participating we will be seeing a whopping 24. Also, this time around the new format sports 2 locations with the New Challengers Stage being scheduled for ELEAGUE Arena in Atlanta, USA, starting on 12th of January. It's basically the equivalent of the former Offline Qualifiers since it will be closed for spectators. After that, the qualified teams will battle against each other in the same venue for a chance to participate in the New Champions Stage. It is going to be held in Boston's magnificent Agganis Arena with official start on 26th January.
