Astralis vs FaZe Clan – Quarterfinals Betting Prediction CS: GO DreamHack Masters Marseille 2018

DreamHack Marseille 2018 Tournament LogoThe group stage of CS: GO DreamHack Masters Marseille 2018 perhaps is finished, but the stories will live on for quite some time. The results have left many of us outright puzzled. The prime candidates for losers of this tournament are definitely the members of Team Liquid. They couldn't get themselves together and could not stand up to the challenge, thus getting eliminated in the group stage. But, enough with the group stage – let's take a closer look at the first playoffs matches instead! The most interesting quarterfinals matchup will definitely be Astralis vs FaZe Clan. It's scheduled as the third match tomorrow (Saturday) and starts at exactly 16:00 CEST. With FaZe being unlucky against Cloud9, they are forced to go up against the toughest 1st seed team – Astralis. This matchup is not just a beauty for fans but eSports betting enthusiasts too. FaZe Clan goes guns blazing against EnVyUs

FaZe Clan went into this tournament with proper style. Haven't you watched their first matchup against EnVyUs? Well, that's actually pretty good if you're a fan of the latter team. On the other hand, if you're just in it for the beauty of the game, then you have every reason to be sad. Why is that? Well –  FaZe Clan played a marvelous match on Cache and managed to completely annihilate EnVyUs with an unbelievable score of 16-1. However, they were soon brushing their guns against C9 in what seemed to be the unluckiest matchup for NiKo and co in quite a while. 13-16 on Overpass and 14-16 on Mirage meant FaZe will have to battle it out for a spot in the quarterfinals… against EnVyUs, once again. Train could've gone either way, but FaZe managed to secure the win late on and sweep through in map 2 on Overpass. A true force to be reckoned with, going in against a pretty tough opponent though…

Astralis players are making their presence known

Right after the group stage draw was done and dealt with, people already knew Astralis was going to go through to the playoffs as the first seed in Group D. Going up against Space Soldiers, Astralis dropped only 2 rounds and gave everyone a glance of what's coming next. Going up against Team Liquid, on the other hand, seemed a bit trickier, especially after the first map – Mirage. However, gla1ve and device made their presence known on Overpass and Cache, nicely bringing this matchup to a 2-1 close. Now they are going up against FaZe Clan and are considered as slight favorites with most eSports bookies. Whether or not I think they're right, you can find out down below…

Who will advance to the semifinals?

Even though Astralis are slightly in favor of winning this, I think things won't go that easily for them. True – they've played amazing, aggressive, fast-paced round against both Space Soldiers and Team Liquid. But it's safe to say they have not faced their first real test yet. On the other hand, FaZe Clan, with Xizt replacing Olofmeister, are looking good after a comfortable win. I am referring to their match against EnVyUs in the deciding match. Xizt is growing in form with every consecutive match which is also a noteworthy thing to mention. If he can pull his stats up a bit, I believe NiKo and co can win this and go through to the semifinals!
