Dota 2 Asian ChampionshipThis might just be the biggest tournament outside of the International 2015 this year. Everybody seems to be anticipating this tournament. Half of the biggest Dota 2 teams in the world has been invited and the other half is already salivating at the chance to qualify via the three qualifying tournaments around the world. Why wouldn’t they? From the base prize pool of $250,000.00 it has ballooned into $1,092,751 as of writing. It might just be the first tournament outside of the International to have a first prize of more than 1 million dollars.

As you can see by the list of the teams participating in this tournament. It seems that every team on Earth is participating. The schedule of the qualifying tournaments are: American qualifiers – January 5 to January 6, 2015, European Qualifiers – January 8 to January 11, 2015, Asian qualifiers – January 10 to January 15, 2015. The winners of the American and European qualifiers qualify for the tournament, and the top 4 placers in the Asian qualifying also qualify along with the 5th and 6th placers as wild cards. The main event will be held on February 5 to February 9, 2015.
