In den gro\u00dfen Regionen Europa (EU LCS), Nordamerika (NA LCS), S\u00fcdkorea (LCK), China (LPL) und Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau (LMS) wurden schon im Spring Split sogenannte Championship Punkte (manchmal auch Circuit Points) vergeben, die bestimmen, welche Teams sich f\u00fcr die Worlds qualifizieren. Das Team, das die Summer Playoffs 2017 in seiner jeweiligen Liga gewinnt, ist automatisch als erster f\u00fcr die Gruppenphase gesetzt. Der zweite Platz in der Gruppenphase geht an das Team mit den meisten Championship Points. Die Teams 2-5 nach CS Punkten nehmen am Regionalen Qualifikationsturnier teil.
