Counter Strike GO Icon Last Chance Qualifiers

In the following days we will have the chance to witness the Last Chance Qualifiers that will determine the last 2 playoffs teams. In the Last Chance Qualifiers ( from now on – LCQ ) a total of 8 teams will be competing for the chance of entering the playoffs and battling for the main prize of the event, which is something we will discuss later on. For now, let’s see which teams are eligible for the LCQ:

6 runners up from each of the groups along with 2 best placed 3rd teams from the group stage.

When we take a look at the standings, we will see that these teams will be competing in the LCQ:

As you already may know, only the teams that meet each other in the finals of the LCQ are advancing to the playoffs.

But what is the point of them playing the final match of LCQ if both of them advance through to the playoffs? Well… There is a rather simple explanation – MONEY.

The LCQ winner will win an additional prize of $10,000, which is more than enough motivation to give their best at the LCQ finals.

LCQ Schedule

Last Chance Qualifiers start off on July the 13th with the first quarter final match between Renegades and Flipsid3 Tactics, followed by the second match between Gambit Gaming and Virtus Pro.

On the second day of the LCQ ( July the 14th ) the remaining 2 quarter finals matches will be held. In them, G2 eSports will play against mousesports while FaZe Clan will go up against Counter Logic Gaming. All in all, we have 4 great matches which will surely be filled with interesting moves and great gameplay.

After the quarter finals, on July the 15th, semifinals start along with the grand LCQ final which will he held one day after that. In other words, on July the 15th we will know the 2 remaining teams that will advance through to the eLeague playoffs.

As of time writing this article, we still do not have any information regarding the playoffs brackets since not all teams that will be participating in the playoffs are yet known. This information will be available after the 15th of July, after the second semifinal match of the LCQ, after which we will know the 2 finalists which go through to the playoffs.

Playoffs Schedule

The playoffs will start on July the 21st when the first 2 quarter finals matches will be played.

  • On the very next day, July the 22nd the remaining 2 quarter finals matches will be played, after which we will know all 4 teams that will battle in the semifinals.
  • The eLeague semifinals start on July the 29th when both semifinals matches will be held on the same day. The tensions will surely be high for all players participating, which just makes the matches much more entertaining to watch.
  • The grand finals are scheduled for July the 30th where the 2 best teams in the entire tournament will be battling against each other for the grand prize of a whopping $390,000. All playoffs matches are going to be played in a best of 3 fashion.

If you want to watch eLeague matches live don’t despair, there are plenty of streams which will be working throughout the entire tournament. The major thing with eLeague is the fact that it is being broadcasted on cable television, ABS to be more precise. If you do not have access to ABS there is always the official Twitch Channel of eLeague which will be streaming all matches, along with VOD’s shortly after.
