Schedule Blizzcon 2015 – SC2 WCS | HWC | HSWC

Blizzcon 2015 logoHoliday season is almost upon us and this year it begins early with Blizzcon. This year we won’t have an opening weekend, but rather an opening week filled with eSports, cosplays, demos, and lots of excitement. Pro players will demonstrate their skills in StarCraft II, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, and World of Warcraft Arena. Of course, we’re not talking about simply showing off for the glory of being crowned Blizzcon World champion at the Main Event on November 6 and 7, but also for the financial benefits that come with the title, which we can assure you are worth it. Blizzcon opening week will be held from October 28 to November 1 in Burbank, CA. 96 pro players will be attending the conference to show us why they’re the best at what they do. Here’s some more information about specific eSports.

Schedule – StartCraft II World Championship Series Global Finals

This is where we’ll see the top 16 StarCraft II players in the world battle it out for the honor of attending the Main Event at Blizzcon. Only 8 of them will proceed and will have the chance to win the title of World champion, and only one will claim it. The prize pool is $250,000, which could work motivating to some of the players, but we know very well that they’re not doing it for the money. It’s the magic of the game that propels them forward. The games that will determine the 8 contenders that will make it to the main event will be played on November 1, 10:00 PST. The StarCraft II WCS Global Finals Round of 8 will be played on Friday November 6 from 21:15 to 3:15 CET. The semifinals will be played on November 7 from 21:00 to 0:30 CET and the Grand Final is scheduled for 1:00 CET on the same evening. Find out more about the StarCraft 2 World Championship 2015.

Schedule – Hearthstone World Championship 2015

The Hearthstone World Championship will allow 16 players to demonstrate their skills in front of the audience and get a piece of the $250,000 prize pool. The players will be divided into four groups of four players and will be locked in a dual elimination format. Match 1 of the groups will be played on October 28 starting time 9:00 PDT, with Match 2 and first eliminations being played on the following day. October 30 and 31 we’ll witness the advancement of the players to the Main Event. On November 6 we’ll see the Hearthstone World Championship Round of 8 scheduled from 2:00 to 4:45 CET. The semifinals will be played on November 7 from 19:30 to 22:30 CET, and the Grand Final will be played from 23:00 to 00:30 CET. Find out more about the Hearthstone World Championship 2015.

Schedule – Heroes of the Storm World Championship 2015

Heroes of the Storm is a new game but the interest toward has grown immensely in the past several months. Maybe that’s why it should come as no surprise that the prize pool for it is $500,000. The games begin on October 28 at 13:30 PDT. The tournament will include two dual-tournament groups in the first stage. All teams will make it to the Main Event, and then we’ll see a Group Play on November 6 from 1:00 to 7:00 CET. The semifinals are scheduled for the next day, November 7, from 18:45 – 21:45 CET. Immediately after the semifinals we’ll proceed to the Grand Final. Find out more about the Heroes of the Storm (HOTS) World Championship 2015.

To sum up

It seems like we’re in it for an epic Blizzcon this year (well, it’s epic every year, but this year has the potential to be the most epic yet). Of course, only time will tell if this potential will be reached or will go to waste. Oh, who are we kidding – it will definitely be awesome! See you there.
