LMS Spring Playoffs 2015- Recap

This season was full of excitement, thrill, surprise winning and losses, turning points. Overall, this season had everything that was expected from it after the previous season. LMS Spring Playoffs Schedule and Format

As most of you all know, LMS is organized by Garena Taiwan. It features 8 teams from the regions of Honk Kong, Taiwan and Macau. Teams are divided into 4 groups where they face each other 3 times during the whole season. The game follows the best of 1 format. As the season approaches its end, the teams at the bottom of the league table are relegated while the top 4 teams are promoted to the Playoffs. The format of the Playoffs is called the Gauntlet. The four teams are arranged in an elimination tournament. The LMS Spring Playoffs are over, which were played in a Best of 5 matches format. We have the results and stats with us.

Out of the 8 teams in the regular season, 4 teams marched into the Playoffs:

Quarter-finals

Round 1 or the Quarterfinal was played between Ahq e-Sports Club - LMS Team Logo AHQ e-Sports Club and Hong Kong Esports - LMS Team Logo - small Hong Kong Esports, which AHQ e-Sports Club won with the score of 3-0

Semi-finals

Round 2 or the Semi-final was played between Ahq e-Sports Club - LMS Team Logo AHQ e-Sports Club and Taipei Assassins - LMS Team Logo Taipei Assassins and with no surprise, AHQ e-Sports Club came out as the winning team in the semis with the score of 3-0

The Grand Finals

The final showdown, the grand battle was between Ahq e-Sports Club - LMS Team Logo AHQ e-Sports Club and yoe Flash Wolves - LMS Team Logo YOE Flash Wolves. Everybody thought that AHQ e-Sports Club will win the finals with the score of 3-0 again, and they will be unbeaten in the playoffs, but this didn’t happen. AHQ e-Sports Club did win the finals and proceeded as the true champions, but YOE Flash Wolves managed to get 1 game as their consolation. That one win of YOE Flash Wolves over their rivals wasn’t enough to stop them to become the champions this season with astonishing 200 circuit points.

Ahq e-Sports Club - LMS Team Logo AHQ e-Sports Club got $ 63,014 in their pocket and a ticket to the MSI in Florida

yoe Flash Wolves - LMS Team Logo YOE Flash Wolves on the second place may be happy with $ 37,808

Taipei Assassins - LMS Team Logo Taipei Assassins have settled themselves with $ 22,055

Hong Kong Esports - LMS Team Logo - small Hong Kong Esports is going back home with $ 15,753

The price pool was of ($182,740 approximately); the rest was awarded to the teams that did not make it into the LMS Spring Playoffs 2015.

The story of good news for AHQ e-Sports Club didn’t end there with the prize money as they also got their TICKET TO MID SEASONAL INVITATIONAL. Now, that are some championship awards AHQ e-Sports Club got after their win. No doubt that the team would have carried a big smile on their faces on their way back to home.

The season finished perfectly. Fans are surely going to miss their favourite teams, which they loved to watch battling with their rivals but the LMS Summer Split is on it’s way and until then get ready for the MSI in early May 2015!
