Preview and Predictions LCS EU Expansion – Round 3

EU Round 3 – Match #1: Reason Gaming - LoL Expansion Tournament EU - Team Logo Reason Gaming vs.  Giants - LoL Team Logo Giants
(Dec 18th, 04:00 PST/ 07:00 EST/ 13:00 CET)

Giants lost their first game in their best-of-three series against Millenium. They later stole the 2nd game away from Millenium and eventually won the series with their strong and excellent performance in the 3rd and last game.

In their first game, Millenium won their first game against Giants with Creaton in the AD Carry role illustrating iimpressive performance. He scored 9 kills and only 1 death in the 1st game which lasted for 37 minutes. Giants’ PePiiNeRo showed his mastery and epic skills with Xerath in the 2nd game, scoring 9 kills, 3 assists, and only 2 deaths.

Millenium didn’t live up to their expectations in the 3rd and last game as they were dominated by Giants, aggressive plays by Giants gave them kills and snowballed their carry all the way to victory. Giants easily defeated them with a score of 22 kills and only 6 deaths.

Reason Gaming swept their 2nd round series against Different Dimension.

Dom1nant of Different Dimension had a superb performance in the 1st game, scoring 9 kills and lifting his team but that was not enough as the last teamfight went in favor of Reason Gaming and scored an ace. Takefun on Fizz had some notable plays, killing DD MageBane multiple times.

Reason Gaming dealt with their inconsistencies and managed to overcome Different Dimension. Although they have shown impressive performance in this series, their next opponent would be no pushover.

PREDICTION: Giants is a strong team and is also one of the heavily favored teams to win this expansion tournament. They have shown considerable improvement from their last series and have excel at teamwork and strategy. Inconsistencies and lack of communication hinder Reason Gaming’s ability to fully exert their full potential, but with the right motivation, they could put up a fight. Giants for the win, 3-1.

EU Round 3 – Match #2: H2K Gaming - LCS EU Expansion Team Logo H2 Gaming vs. n!faculty - LCS EU Expansion - Team Logo - small n!faculty
(Dec 18th, 09:00 PST/ 12:00 EST/ 18:00 CET)

The 2nd round series of H2K Gaming against MelonCats didn’t show the true terror of H2K Gaming because of an unfortunate accident. MelonCats was unable to continue their best-of-three series against H2K Gaming, the reason was MelonCats’s jungler Gillius experienced a hardware error and could not fix it. MelonCats only played their first game against H2K Gaming, and forfeited their 2nd game.

Stakes are high for H2K Gaming as they are one of the heavily favored teams to win this Expansion tournament and secure a slot into the 2015 EU LCS Spring Split. Although only for a short time, H2K Gaming was able to show their true power as they subdued and dominated MelonCats in their first game, ending the game in under 25 minutes and scoring 6 kills and only 1 death in the entire course of the match.

N!Faculty had won their 2nd round series against Gamers 2, eliminating ocelote, former mid laner of SK Gaming, in the process.

They defeated Gamers 2 in the first game with SozPurePerct’s Zed carrying his team to victory, ending the game with 6 kills, 1 death, and 2 assists. Their 2nd game against Gamers 2 was more of a war than a brawl, spanning more than 60 minutes. Jwaow’s Jax was the notable player in Game 2 as he was able to snowball and carry his team to victory, ending the game at 65:43 with a score of 7-3-4.

In their 3rd and last game, Gamers 2 had an early lead in gold and kill count, thanks to the excellent rotation of kOu and Jwaow but a few teamfights coupled with their poor judgment and lack of communication, N!Faculty was able to come back from behind and secure the win, ending the hopes of Gamers 2’s entrance into the 2015 EU LCS Spring Split.

PREDICTION: H2K Gaming is one of the heavily favored teams in this Expansion tournament and as champions of 2014 EU CS Summer Playoffs, they are expected to win this series against N!Faculty. Although N!Faculty showed promise when they were able to defeat Gamers 2, H2K Gaming is in a different league and they must surpass their previous perfomance if they want to defeat H2K Gaming.
