Week 8 – Jordan’s LCS Betting Strategy

There are only two weeks of LCS left for the 2017 League of Legends Championship Series Spring Split and the round that just passed had some strong positive growth for our LCS betting strategy to put us back on track after a rocky mid-season period. Post Week 6 there were some significant roster changes that occurred in LCS, Doublelift returning to LCS to play for Team Liquid until Spring Split end for example, so many matches in the round that had closer odds than usual. As a result, despite a favourite win rate of only 71% there was a positive growth to our total balance because of the value of the wins.

What did we make last week?

Results of last LCS week
Starting Investment previous Balance Performance last week Perfomance % New Balance
$200 $100.39 + $75.22 + 74,93% $175.61

Back on Track

As mentioned, the high average odds of last week’s games resulted in a strong positive growth for the LCS week despite lower than 80% favourite wins. Currently we sit just shy of where we started as we still recoup losses from poorly performing Week’s 4 and 5. If we remain on track with two full weeks to go then we should be as fruitful as we were in Week 3. Last week’s total balance started on $100.39 and finished on $175.61. That’s an increase of 74.93%, which if projected over the next two full weeks of LCS would suggest we COULD finish the season with around $546.13. The numbers, of course, have been up and down all season so all we can do is watch and learn over the next fortnight.

Team Liquid in Week 8

The coming matchups for NA LCS in Week 8 of the 2017 Spring Split looks reasonably predictable with the exception of a game here and there (Roccat v Giants, CLG v FlyQuest). Team Liquid however look heavily undervalued in the upcoming week in their matches against Dignitas and Pheonix 1 paying 2.25 and 3.40 respectively.

Recent roster changes to the Team Liquid line up have moved Piglet from ADC to Mid lane where he has been exceptionally competitive and have contracted one of North America’s best ADC’s, Doublelift, until the end of season. The had a strong showing against C9 last week – NA’s number 2 team currently – and a match win against Team EnVyUs. Keep your eye on the Team Liquid odds as the weekend gets closer because I suspect that their odds will change as they gain support for winning these matchups.

Bets for Week 8

This coming week’s odds are as below. Week 8 is starting with a new total balance of $175.61 with a total potential winning of $532.89 if all favourites’ matches win. If this week’s performance mirrors last week’s with a growth of around 75% then we may see a growth of around $307 this same time next week. Keep your eyes on Team Liquid as these matches get closer and keep your eyes on this space next week in preparation for the last week of LCS. Odds taken from eSports bookmaker bet365.
