NA LCS Spring Split Week 2 – Day 3:

Phoenix1 vs. Team Liquid NA LCS Spring Split 2017 Week 2
Match #A1: Team Logo Phoenix1 NA LCS 2017 Phoenix1 vs. Team Logo Liquid NA LCS 2017 Team Liquid

Start Time: January 29th, 12:00 PM PST/ 03:00 PM EST/ 21:00 CET

Phoenix1 have looked fairly good, taking down Echo Fox with relative ease and contesting their series against Dignitas, so they’re definitely not a team to underestimate. Team Liquid though has looked fantastic too though. They made quick work of Counter Logic Gaming and didn’t drop a single game to them, followed by them contest the series against FlyQuest; without success. But who’s the better performing team so far? Make sure you catch the games on Sunday, January 29th, to find out who takes another step forward!

Team Logo Phoenix1 NA LCS 2017Phoenix1 – They looked fantastic against Echo Fox, but Echo Fox have been lacklustre so far. This doesn’t give us a reliable amount of information but P1 have shown that if they can build a good lead they’re not afraid to take a few risks to take the game. This could work as a double edged sword against Team Liquid, let’s hope it works out for them.

Team Logo Liquid NA LCS 2017Team Liquid – TL are definitely one of the teams to watch at the moment, after taking down CLG with relative ease and without losing a single game to them they’d shown that they’re reliable and consistent. Sure, they have a few issues but it’s nothing that can’t be working out between the NA LCS performance days.

I’d definitely give Team Liquid the advantage here. Taking down CLG in a clean series is no small feat. Even contesting their series against FlyQuest was fairly impressive. Pheonix1 did something similar against Team Dignitas, who’re looking really strong at the moment, so TL should definitely not underestimate them. Team Liquid is going to want to play paced and patient, waiting for opportunities to present themselves. Throw in a little early game aggression and using vision control to catch out rotating opponents could also give them an advantage, this could quickly open up the game for them as TL have shown they can control a game if they’re controlling the gold. Phoenix1 is going to want to focus more on their vision, once their vision becomes less of a concern then their performances will definitely be stronger. Phoenix1 are going to want to try and find quick engagements around the middle stages of the game, if they’re focusing on vision around objectives they could find opportune moments around them to gain an advantage against TL.

Prediction: Team Liquid Victory. TL have definitely looked like the more reliable of the 2 teams, sure P1 were able to dominate Echo Fox but FOX are yet to step up the ladder at all. Team Liquid have shown more precision in their decision making and I think that’ll play a huge factor in them taking a lead along with the series.

Team Envy vs. Immortals NA LCS Spring Split 2017 Week 2
Match #B2: Team Logo Envy NA LCS 2017 Team EnVyUs vs. Team Logo Immortals NA LCS 2017 Immortals

Start Time: January 29th, 03:00 PM PST/ 06:00 PM EST/ 24:00 CET

Team Envyus haven’t been presented many opportunities to shine yet; this could be one of those opportunities. Immortals had a difficult time against Echo Fox, even dropping a game to them, but it’s not all been bad from them. They were able to contest their series against Team Solo Mid and had shown a lot of potential in those games, if this potential shines through once against Team Envyus could be in a lot of trouble this split. Will Team Envyus come out on top and finally prove themselves? Make sure you catch the series when it goes live on Sunday, January 29th, to watch it as it unfolds!

Team Logo Envy NA LCS 2017Team Envyus – They’ve shown some great individual play but this hasn’t translated so well in their results. They’ve been against teams that have been consistent and have put on regular strong performances but if NV don’t step up now they could be looking at a very bad start to their split.

Team Logo Immortals NA LCS 2017Immortals – Immortals definitely looked a little rough around the edges but this hasn’t got them down yet. In their series against Echo Fox they managed to adapt to an apparent weakness, these adaptions can become the bane of their opponents. If Immortals show more quick adaptions and are able to survive until the late game they’ll definitely improve their odds.

Immortals look to be at an advantage here, at least on paper, but I think Team Envyus are going to give them a serious run for their money here. Team Envyus have shown great individual strength and if that can give them a lead for the middle stages of the game they’ll be able to open up objectives and find advantageous team fights. This could shut down any attempts that Immortals make at stalling out the game and will greatly improve their chances at contesting the series. Immortals haven’t had the strongest or most reliable early games so they’re going to want to play with a bit of patience, if they focus on vision during the earlier stages of the game they could find advantageous skirmishes to build a lead. This could quickly translate into a lot of objective control for when the middle stages of the game rolls around and if the game happens to reach those later stages then Team Envyus could be in a world of trouble.

Prediction: Immortals Victory. Team Envyus could potentially put up a really good fight here and give us a few phenomenal games for the series but when It comes down to it Immortals have been the more consistent and reliable team. They’ve shown more of their strengths and if they work on their early game I think they could take this series without being pressured too hard.

Echo Fox vs. FlyQuest NA LCS Spring Split 2017 Week 2
Match #A2: Team Logo Echo Fox NA LCS 2017 Echo Fox vs. FlyQuest NA LCS 2017 - Logo Fly Quest

Start Time: January 29th, 12:00 PM PST/ 03:00 PM EST/ 21:00 CET

Echo Fox are in a difficult position here, they’re yet to take a series and now they’re going up against a team that haven’t dropped a series. Echo Fox have been presented an opportunity here though, if they’re not confident coming into this series they can use what every strategies they have to try and prove their strength to a high standing team. FlyQuest are probably confident coming into this game but if they’re too confident things could quickly turn on them. Will Echo Fox challenge FlyQuest? Make sure you catch the series when it goes live on Sunday, January 29th, to find out!

Team Logo Unicorns of Love EU LCS 2017Echo Fox – They’ve shown potential, but potential isn’t enough. When facing off against FlyQuest they’re going to be quickly pushed to their limits so they’re going to need a confident shot calling. Their decision making during the later stages of the game has been their biggest issue so if they make it to that point they’re going to need to step up to take FLY down.

FlyQuest NA LCS 2017 - LogoFlyQuest – FlyQuest are looking like a contender for the top of the ladder and we’re only in the 2nd week. They’re yet to drop a series and even when they’re placed against other strong performing teams they’ve been coming out on top; sometimes in a very decisive manner. Their macro management is phenomenal; this gives them unlimited opportunities during the later stages of the game.

FlyQuest are definitely at an advantage here, that’s not arguable. FlyQuest have shown a strong early game, a confident and decisive middle game with fantastic calls and decision being made. They’ve been a tough opponent for everyone that’s faced them so far and they’re going to be even more of a challenge for FOX here. Echo Fox have shown a promising early game, a strong middle game but a very unreliable late game. Echo Fox are going to need to make decisive macro plays when possible, if they don’t then they’ll find themselves falling to FlyQuest without even fighting. Rotations will be a key point to his match and Echo Fox have shown some strong rotations of their own, if they manage to stay on top of vision they might be able to use this to open up opportunities to contest games and maybe even the series.

Prediction: FlyQuest Victory. I think FlyQuest are going to take this series with relative ease, they’ve proven to be one of the most competent and reliable teams so far that have performing during the North American League of Legends Championship Series and with their strengths shining against other strong teams I couldn’t imagine Echo Fox being much of an issue for them.

Cloud9 vs. Counter Logic Gaming NA LCS Spring Split 2017 Week 2
Match #B2: Team Logo Cloud9 NA LCS 2017 Cloud9 vs. Team Logo CLG NA LCS 2017 Counter Logic Gaming

Start Time: January 29th, 03:00 PM PST/ 06:00 PM EST/ 24:00 CET

Definitely one of the most exciting series of games to come to us this spring split. Cloud9 have looked like an extremely strong force to be reckoned with, they managed to take down TSM with relative ease and they were also able to come out on top of Team Dignitas, CLG on the other had have taken a few hard hits so far. Will they head into day 3 with a few improvements or will they fall again? Catch the games when they go live on Sunday, January 29th, to find out and watch as it all unfolds!

Team Logo Cloud9 NA LCS 2017Cloud 9 – So far they’ve shown a fantastic amount of skill, they were able to easily take their series against Team Solo Mid and did so in spectacular fashion. Heading into their series against Dignitas they ran into a bit of trouble but they quickly adapted for it and took the 3rd game against them along with the series. We could be looking at them running into a bit of trouble here but their confidence will carry them to great places.

Team Logo CLG NA LCS 2017Counter Logic Gaming – CLG are yet to really make an impact, they put on a few phenomenal performances against Team Envyus, who’s skill on the ladder is yet to be properly determined, and they fell to Team Liquid without being able to put up much of a fight. They’re going to need to watch their risks and play with more patience, it’ll be key for them to come out on top here.

Cloud 9 definitely looks to be at an advantage here, they’ve been a more reliable and competent team even against other strong performing teams. They’ve had a few hiccups but have always often managed to work their way to the top. Dropping a game in a series has given them opportunities to show us how well they can adapt and that could cause a lot of trouble for CLG. CLG should focus on their top lane during the earlier stages of the game and try to adopt some split pushing, falling back to the older CLG style. There are currently a lot of top lane champions that excel at this and could give CLG the tools they need to pressure C9 into bad positions. C9 will want to take hold of the earlier stages of the game and continue their reliable style of play, their rotations have been formidable and with a few early confident moves they could quickly throw CLG out of position.

Prediction: Cloud 9 Victory. Cloud 9 has proven to be one of the strongest performing teams on the ladder of the NA LCS so far. They’re constantly putting on strong performances whereas CLG has often run into issues. Because of their consistency, reliability and their known strength I think they’ll come out on top of this series; possibly quite decisively, similar to TL.

NA LCS Spring Split Week 2 – Day 2:

Immortals vs. Cloud9 NA LCS Spring Split 2017 Week 2
Match #A1: Team Logo Immortals NA LCS 2017 Immortals vs. Team Logo Cloud9 NA LCS 2017 Cloud9

Start Time: January 28th, 12:00 PM PST/ 03:00 PM EST/ 21:00 CET

Cloud9 are yet to drop a series but they’ve been tested, during their 1st week of performances Team Dignitas were able to push them to a game 3. Can Immortals do something similar, maybe taking the series away from what appears to be one of the strong competing NA LCS teams? Make sure you catch the series when it goes live on Saturday, January 28th, to see who comes out on top!

Team Logo Immortals NA LCS 2017Immortals – IMT has been a bit shaken up, they nearly lost their series against Echo Fox and they fell to Team Solo Mid after taking away a single game. They’ve shown a lot of promise and potential which could show in the next few weeks but for now they need to step up their game and work on small improvements if they want to climb the ladder.

Team Logo Cloud9 NA LCS 2017Cloud9 – Cloud9 are yet to be defeated, they’ve dropped a game to Team Dignitas but they’ve come out on top of every series they’ve played so far. They’ve got strong and quick rotations that have pushed them ahead but if teams are able to catch them out then C9 could be in trouble. Their team fighting has been fantastic so they’ll thrive during the middle stages of the game.

Cloud9 appear to be at quite an advantage here, Immortals have run into trouble during every series they’ve played so far and a lot of their weaknesses have been exposed. They’re less refined but they’ve already shown so much potential. They’ve got phenomenal decision making when it comes to choosing a lot of their team fights but their early game and map pressure has been letting them down. They’re going to need to get their jungler around the map a little more, possibly counter ganking, to slow down C9 but if they’re looking to take a large lead they’ll want to control vision across the river and pick suitable fights around objectives; preferably when they have a numbers advantage or by picking off an opponent. Cloud9 have been able to put out a fair amount of early pressure already, their biggest issue has been their engagements; it’s how they essentially threw a game against Team Dignitas. If they can be more decisive or sporadic and pick their focus targets correctly then they shouldn’t run into trouble whilst team fighting anymore.

Prediction: Cloud 9 Victory. Cloud 9 look quite a bit stronger than Immortals at the moment, but they have been let down by some of their later game aggressive moves. They’re going to want to pick their team fights more carefully, other than that I think they’ll gain control of the map and slowly work their way through the series to take the victory.

Team SoloMid vs. Team Liquid NA LCS Spring Split 2017 Week 2
Match #B1: Team Logo TSM NA LCS 2017 Team SoloMid vs. Team Logo Liquid NA LCS 2017 Team Liquid

Start Time: January 28th, 03:00 PM PST/ 06:00 PM EST/ 24:00 CET

Team Liquid have come across as fairly reliable and strong in every series they’ve played so far, the same can’t be said for TSM though as they fell to C9 in their 1st series of the season and they did so fairly quickly. Team Solo Mid had made a few small improvements in preparation for their Day 3 performance and after yet another week they’re going to be looking to take TL down, but can they do it? The games go live on Saturday, January 28th, so make sure you don’t miss them!

Team Logo TSM NA LCS 2017Team Solo Mid – Very little was changed about their roster but they’re certainly looking a bit weaker this season. They’ve still shown some great strengths but a lot of fans are worried that they won’t be able to improve quickly enough to push for a top position on the ladder. I think they’ll make their minor improvements quickly and they’ll use this week to show it!

Team Logo Liquid NA LCS 2017Team Liquid – Team Liquid looked like a dominant force in their series against Counter Logic Gaming and I have no doubt that their performances are striking fear into the other competing teams in the North American League of Legends Championship Series. They’ve already taken down or contested their series against some of the stronger performing teams; can they do the same with the titans that are TSM?

I’d say Team Liquid is at an advantage here, Team Solo Mid certainly won’t give up easily but so far this season they’ve not been able to pressure their opponents enough. When going up against an experienced organisation and team like TL this is absolutely necessary! If Team Liquid manages to take an early lead then I think that’ll spell trouble for Team Solo Mid for that particular game. Team Solo Mid don’t have the best history when it comes to ‘comebacks’ in games and even if they show great strength they’re going to need to keep their early and middle game in check. They should look to take advantageous fights around the middle stages of the game and wait for TL to make position mistakes; this can be made more apparent if TSM work on vision control and contest objectives when possible. TL will want to use their jungler to pressure the map often and possibly rotate their middle laner to apply pressure. This will let TL take a tempo lead and, with quick and reliable rotations, could easily open up the map and game for them.

Prediction: Team Liquid Victory. Team Liquid is looking like a pretty scary team right now and if they’ve been practicing hard then I think they’ll be able to control any early aggression from TSM and take a lead when opportunities present themselves. Doing so will reduce risk and could quickly open up the game and series for them.

Phoenix1 vs. Team Envy NA LCS Spring Split 2017 Week 2
Match #A1: Team Logo Phoenix1 NA LCS 2017 Phoenix1 vs. Team Logo Envy NA LCS 2017 Team EnVyUs

Start Time: January 28th, 12:00 PM PST/ 03:00 PM EST/ 21:00 CET

Phoenix1 are looking fairly strong but they’re yet to be tested by the assumed stronger teams in the North American region. Team Envyus are yet to take a series but both of the times they played they were stuck between a rock and a hard place, going head to head against both FlyQuest and Counter Logic Gaming. Will Phoenix1 be another rock to NV? Catch the games on Saturday, January 28th, to find out!

Team Logo Phoenix1 NA LCS 2017Phoenix1 – Phoenix1 were able to conquer Echo Fox; who’ve looked fairly strong after pushing Immortals to their limits, and they were able to at least contest their series against a formidable Team Dignitas. They’ve already shown great potential and as weeks pass I think this team is going to become a series challenge for the region.

Team Logo Envy NA LCS 2017Team Envyus – NV are yet to come out on top of a series but that doesn’t mean they’re collapsing, at least not yet. Their individual skill levels are on par with their opponents and they’re often able to create a lot of pressure through small skirmishes but once they’ve got a lead their macro management and map control let them down. This was their down fall against C9, even when they looked strong or were ahead.

Phoenix1 would appear to be at an advantage but as we’re reaching the 2nd week small improvements from opposing teams could quickly take that away. Tean Envyus have shown fantastic micro management, mechanics and individual play but have often fallen to a lack of vision control or bad decision making; sometimes even NO decision making. They’re going to want to play with more confidence, they work really well in the earlier stages of the game and can create a lot of opportunities, if they do this against Phoenix1 they could quickly open up their base. Phoenix1 are going to want to hold a strong line of vision throughout the river from the earlier stages of the game, they’ll want to avoid a lot of the early skirmishes unless they’re completely prepared for them. Working with tempo and quick rotations could net them a fairly large lead as Team Envyus have shown an inability to rotate quickly; this reduces a lot of risk for Phoenix1 and could safely open up the series for them.

Prediction: Team Envyus Victory. After it became apparent that their shot calling and decision making were letting them down I’m expecting them to be improved for this second week. They’ve got fantastic individual skill and I think that will help them control a lot of the game until they find their stride. Phoenix1 are going to want to avoid risks but as soon as they overstep then the game could quickly turn in Team NV’s favour; opening up the victory and series for them.

Team Dignitas vs. Echo Fox NA LCS Spring Split 2017 Week 2
Match #B2: Team Logo Dignitas NA LCS 2017 Team Dignitas vs. Team Logo Echo Fox NA LCS 2017 Echo Fox

Start Time: January 28th, 03:00 PM PST/ 06:00 PM EST/ 24:00 CET

Echo Fox have looked surprisingly strong this season, at least in comparison to their previous performances last season. They’ve not taken a series yet and they fell quite quickly to Phoenix1 but they were able to keep Immortals down for quite some time, with a few small improvements I think they could push quite far. Team Dignitas are currently one of the highlight teams, they may have fallen to Cloud9 and even dropped a game to P1 but they’ve looked fairly consistent and reliable. Can Echo Fox contest or take this series? Tune into the games when they go live on Saturday, January 28th, to find out!

Team Dignitas – DIG are definitely an improved version of their old selves. This roster is working well together and they’ve been able to constantly pump out pressure. They’ve already taken down Phoenix1, who took down Echo Fox with ease, so things are definitely looking good for Dignitas here.

Team Logo Unicorns of Love EU LCS 2017Echo Fox – Echo Fox have shown a lot of potential, their mechanics are phenomenal and their micro game is astounding, the thing that’s letting them down the most is their decision making and macro management. They’ve got strong rotations but when they have a lead they’re not abusing it often enough or in the right ways. If they can they’ll quickly turn into a destructive team.

I’d give Team Dignitas the advantage here, overall their performances have been more reliable and they’ve come out on top more often. That doesn’t go to say Echo Fox don’t stand a chance though. Echo Fox had a single obvious weakness that was letting them down and after a short period of coaching that can quickly change. If Echo Fox play the earlier stages of the game how they have been then they could be looking at a small lead by the middle of the game, if they do manage that then they’re going to want to be more decisive when it comes to engagements. They’ve had trouble closing out their games, even when stacked with sieging power, and this could give Team Dignitas a second life if things go badly for them. Team Dignitas are going to want to look for early opportunities of aggression to try and force Echo Fox into a more defensive position. This can quickly open up objectives for them and they’ll be able to build a lead with little risk, if their early aggression fails and they begin to have trouble then they can stall out the game and catch Echo Fox making mistakes, essentially giving them a second chance.

Prediction: Team Dignitas Victory. With how unreliable Echo Fox have been during the later stages of their games, regarding decision making and shot calling, I think Team Dignitas could take this series with relative ease. Team Dignitas have played fairly confidently and are a lot less likely to get abused throughout the game, because of this I think they’ll find a comfortable lead and begin to control the game with it, giving them an advantage to take the series.

NA LCS Spring Split Week 2 – Day 1:

FlyQuest vs. Counter Logic Gaming NA LCS Spring Split 2017 Week 2
Week 2 | Day 1 – Match #1: FlyQuest NA LCS 2017 - Logo Fly Quest vs. Team Logo CLG NA LCS 2017 Counter Logic Gaming

Start Time: January 27th, 03:00 PM PST/ 06:00 PM EST/ 24:00 CET

FlyQuest managed to pull off a spectacular Week 1 after coming out on top of both of their series’ played. They managed to take down Team Liquid and Team Envyus, both of which have a pretty good history of performances. Counter Logic Gaming had a rough performance on their 1st day back but managed to step up on the 2nd day against Envyus, can they take down FLY here to equal the score? Find out on Friday, January 27th, when the games go live!

FlyQuest NA LCS 2017 - LogoFlyQuest – A dominating set of performances quickly had them taking their series against Team Envyus but when their opponents toughened up, such as their series against Team Liquid, things definitely became a challenge. Counter Logic Gaming are a historic team who will challenge FlyQuest, this’ll be their opportunity to prove their great strength.

Team Logo CLG NA LCS 2017Counter Logic Gaming – CLG were hit hard during their 1st day when they quickly fell to Team Liquid, without managing to take a single game, but they came back during their 2nd performance when they were able to dominate Team Envyus. How well can they hold up against a team who took down the opponents that beat them so badly? Improvements are already showing, this is their chance to push forward.

FlyQuest appear to be at an advantage here but we’re still early in the season and teams are quickly adapting and improving. FlyQuest were able to take down Team Liquid, dropping a game to them in the series, whereas CLG fell to TL hard and fast. Counter Logic Gaming have definitely shown some of their strengths but have yet to completely prove themselves, their skill is still questionable and this will be a great opportunity for them to take the reins and show their region that they can be a great team again. FlyQuest are going to challenge CLG with great map and vision control, CLG are going to want to try to gain a lead for the middle stages of the game to pressure FLY but if FLY take earlier rotations and find a lead of their own then the games could quickly fall out of CLG’s grasp.

Prediction: FlyQuest Victory. I think they could run into some trouble throughout the series as CLG’s shown some great strength already but taking all performances so far into account FlyQuest are definitely looking like the stronger of the 2 teams. I think their consistency will carry them through the series and to victory!

Team SoloMid vs. Team Dignitas NA LCS Spring Split 2017 Week 2
Week 2 | Day 1 – Match #2: Team Logo TSM NA LCS 2017 Team SoloMid vs. Team Logo Dignitas NA LCS 2017 Team Dignitas

Start Time: January 27th, 06:00 PM PST/ 09:00 PM EST/ 03:00 CET (next day)

Team Solo Mid have been looking out of form in comparison to their old selves, they quickly fell to Cloud9 without putting up much of a fight and they ran into a significant amount of trouble against Immortals, who’ve just made significant changes, they’re going to need to quickly pick things back up as Dignitas have been looking on form and ready to take a higher position on the ladder. Tune into the games when they go live on Friday, January 27th, to see who comes out on top!

Team Logo TSM NA LCS 2017Team SoloMid – A striking performance on their 1st day had them falling behind fairly quickly, they were able to pick it back up during their 2nd performance but things still looked rough for them. They’re going to need to make a few small improvements regarding their map control and decision making if they want to take more dominant leads and have stronger performances!

Dignitas – DIG have looked surprisingly strong in comparison to their old selves, they were able to at least contest their series against Cloud9 and even though they ran into some trouble against P1 they took the series. This means they’re a win up on the ladder and have start to prove their strength against the assumed to teams, this here is the opportunity to take another step forward against those historic teams.

Team Dignitas are proving to be a difficult team to overcome and because of their performances so far during the 2017 North American League of Legends Championship Series I think they’re at a slight advantage over Team Solo Mid. TSM have shown some strength but have looked rough, their communication might be lacking slightly and they’ve been unable to execute clean strategies, because of this Team Dignitas could gain an overbearing lead by the later stages of the game if they play at a faster pace and working with quick rotations. Team Solo Mid are going to want to slow things down during the earlier stages of the game and will need to use their jungler to control the lanes along with giving them wide spread vision control. This will let them pick their fights and fall back during more difficult times, doing so can net them a large lead and will give them phenomenal objective control. Team Dignitas are going to want to push for some earlier aggression and look for a few skirmishes, using their jungler to force opponent’s out of lanes and push the laners of Dignitas ahead. This will give them a lead by the middle stages of the game that can be used to force fights or objective control if they want to force their opponent’s hands.

Prediction: Team Dignitas Victory. Team Solo Mid has definitely looked rough around the edges and even if they’ve made a few minor changes since their last performance they could still be behind Dignitas. DIG have put on strong performances, have looked reliable and consistent and I think this will give them an edge over TSM; leading them to victory.
