Preview and Predictions:

NA LCS Summer Split Week 6 – Day 3:

Many teams have been stepping up and outperforming expectations in week 6, they’re really striving forward to reach a better ladder position as the summer playoffs get close. Phoenix1 are no longer the team at the bottom of the ladder and Apex are proving that organisation issues won’t bring them down. As we head into day 3 we will be focusing on Apex vs. Team Solo Mid along with NRG Esports vs. Cloud9. Make sure you catch the games on both streams as they go live on Sunday, July 10th!

Apex Gaming vs Team SoloMid NA LCS Summer Split 2016 Week 6Week 6 | Day 3 – Match #1: Apex Gaming NA LCS Team Logo LoL Apex Gaming vs. TSM NA LCS Team Logo LoL Team SoloMid

Start Time: July 10, 12:00 PM PDT/ 03:00 PM EDT/ 21:00 CEST

Head to head record: Apex Gaming 0:1 Team Solo Mid

Team Solo Mid has proven time and time again why they’re the top team, let along being undefeated. They were pressured often in their series against Cloud9 on day 1 and always came out on top; they’ll be heading into this series with confidence. Apex’s own players have said they’re underperforming and that they deserve a better position on the ladder, this is their chance to prove it!

Team Solo Mid look to be at an advantage here, Apex could give them as much trouble as Cloud9 if they bring their A game though. Team Solo Mid is in the lead on the ladder and in the head to head, when they fall behind they always up their game and bring it back. They’re consistent and have made very few mistakes so far this split and I think they’re going to be a big issue for Apex.

Apex Gaming NA LCS Team Logo LoLApex Gaming have been a bit inconsistent recently due to some internal issues but this week they’ve shown us their favourite current champions along with some odd ways to play them. They’ve been building significant amounts of damage on their top lanes, Jax and Irelia, which has let them rule over games even when they’ve fallen behind. This is likely to be assisted by a Rek’Sai in the jungle as it’s been their go-to jungle champion. The bottom lane of Apex has found comfort in an Ashe and Alistar combination which I expect to show up more often as it’s been a pillar for them to take games.  The middle lane of Apex has been the most diverse, I’ll be looking for a Viktor or Azir to show up in this series as the wave clear and team fight control can be phenomenal. After they’re all comfortable with their picks and they’ve loaded into the game I think Apex should build a defensive line of vision, one that’s adaptable if they get comfortable in the earlier stages of the game. The jungle or Apex is going to want to keep a lot of pressure in the top lane so getting some aggressive wards on that side of the map could be advantageous. With regular pressure in the top lane the bottom lane of Apex is going to want to play fairly passively, a defensive line of vision should be able to keep them safe until the middle stages of the game, this is where they can start picking off opponents and Apex can begin grouping to fight or siege. If they make it past the middle stages of the game, Apex are going to want to play patiently, their preferred champion picks have great potential for picking off opponents; this can be used to gain a player advantage which they will be able to use to pressure objectives or make sieging significantly easier. This will let them slowly take control of the map, the game, and take victory. This is how they can get ahead during the series to contest it.

Team SoloMid NA LCS Logo LoLTeam Solo Mid is likely to aim for their common occurring champions. Irelia in the top lane would be a fantastic pick, it denies the option from Apex but it’s likely to run into a Jax in the top lane which might not be favourable for them. The jungler on TSM will aim for an Elise or Nidalee, they’ve had good performances on both of these champions and they’re able to apply a significant amount of pressure in the earlier stages of the game. I expect to see some Lucian during this series in the bottom lane of Team Solo Mid and pairing it with a Bard or Braum could be really potent. Last but not least is the middle lane, they’ve picked a wide variety of champions recently but seeing more Azir and Cassiopeia would be fantastic as they both bring significant wave clear and team fighting potential. Once they’re on the rift and ready I think TSM should set up an aggressive line of vision, they’re going to need to pressure the top side of the map a lot during this series as Apex have a tendency to build a lot of damage on their top laners. After making sure their top laner is in a stable or advantageous position they’re going to want to focus on the bottom side of the map, forcing pressure onto the Apex jungler and contesting the objectives on that side of the map. Team Solo Mid could be at an advantage when forcing fights around the middle stages of the game because they’re likely to be ahead in minor ways, these could quickly turn major if TSM apply enough pressure. When the later stages of the game roll around TSM are going to be in a strong position, they’ve proven to have strong shot-calling and objective control which will lead them to victory.

Prediction: Team Solo Mid Victory. Team Solo Mid has been outperforming every other team in the NA LCS and I don’t expect that to stop just yet. Apex has been a tad inconsistent and because of their internal issues I don’t think they’re going to be able to reach the TSM level just yet, maybe in the future.

Counter Logic Gaming vs Phoenix1 NA LCS Summer Split 2016 Week 6Week 6 | Day 3 – Match #2: CLG NA LCS Team Logo LoL Counter Logic Gaming vs. Phoenix1 NA LCS Team Logo Phoenix1

Start Time: July 10, 03:00 PM PDT/ 06:00 PM EDT/ 00:00 CEST

Head to head record: Counter Logic Gaming 1:0 Phoenix1

Phoenix1 were able to take away their second victory of the split, they’re not long the bottom team on the ladder and I bet they’re feeling pretty good about it. Will they be confident in taking down CLG though? Counter Logic Gaming have been performing extremely well lately, taking down Team Envy was a big step for them as they’re pushing their way back up the ladder.

Prediction: Counter Logic Gaming Victory. I’m expecting to see more from Phoenix1 now that they’ve made some improvements but I don’t think those improvements are enough to be able to contest this series, CLG are a well experienced veteran team who are phenomenal in team fights and macro management. Once they gain a lead they will keep it, this is why I think they’ll take the series.

NRG eSports vs Cloud9 NA LCS Summer Split 2016 Week 66 | Day 3 – Match #3: NRG Esports NA LCS Team Logo NRG Esports vs. Cloud9 NA LCS Team Logo LoL Cloud9

Start Time: July 10, 12:00 PM PDT/ 03:00 PM EDT/ 21:00 CEST

Head to head record: NRG Esports 0:1 Cloud9

The game between NRG and C9 that was previously played to decide the head to head was played fairly recently, only 2 weeks ago. This series was heavily favoured by Cloud9 and they managed to take it away however C9 have been running into some trouble recently and if NRG can pull themselves together they might be able to take this series away to tie the head to head standings.

After NRG took a rough defeat on day 2 and have shown a lack of control, even whilst ahead, I’ll be giving the advantage to Cloud9. Cloud9 may be having a bit of a hard time recently but they’ve still been able to take down lower standing teams with great consistency.

NRG Esports NA LCS Team Logo LoLNRG Esports are going to want to pick up some of those skirmishing and bruiser style champions, they’ve been able to excel in the middle stages of the game but have often run into trouble in the early and later stages. To avoid these issues I think they should pick up a Jax or Gnar in the top lane, being able to itemise for both damage and tankiness will allow them to adapt throughout the game. This will be assisted by a Gragas or Reksai in the jungle, both of which can thrive in early skirmishes and help the lanes by applying a significant amount of pressure. The middle lane of NRG has favoured Viktor recently and I expect it to show up during this series, maybe falling back onto an Azir or Zilean. The bottom lane of NRG has been extremely potent on a regular basis; they’ve been often pairing their marksmen with a Karma which can apply a huge amount of lane pressure. Their marksmen choices aren’t vast so I’d expect a Lucian or Sivir to show up for them. Once they’ve got their champions and are loaded into the rift I think they should build a line of vision skewed around the river, they’re going to want slight aggressive warding on the top side of the map to try and slow down the scaling of the Cloud9 top laner; they’ll also need slightly defensive warding on the bottom side of the map to keep a close eye on jungle pressure and on the bottom side objectives. Their bottom lane is reliable and should be able to hold their own, because of this I think NRG should focus on propelling their middle and top lanes into a lead. They’ll want to funnel a lot of their jungle pressure into the solo lanes in the earlier stages of the game, find a few skirmishes could also give them a lead as they hold a lot of early game strength when in a confident situation. When the middle stages of the game rolls around NRG are likely to thrive, this is their most comfortable time in a game because it’s when they’re able to find fights and build their lead. The later stages of the game are where the issues come in, NRG are going to want to play these stages extremely slowly. Building a vast amount of vision around objective will be necessary and NRG are going to need to be less focused on fighting, patience will be needed if they’re going to come out on top of the C9 macro management. If they stick together, find a few fights in the middle stages of the game and slowly control their lead they should be able to take control of significant portions of the map and gain advantages through team fights. This will let them break into the C9 base and take the game, along with letting them gain control of the series.

Cloud9 NA LCS Team Logo LoLCloud9 have been showing a few of their comfortable picks recently, even if they’ve taken losses they’ve been able to put on good performances and prove that they’re not easy to take down. I expect to see a few of these champions make more appearances; Gnar in the top lane wouldn’t be surprising at all. The jungler of C9 has relied heavily on Gragas as the farming, scaling and fighting potential of that champion is outrageously good; this is likely to be used in assisting the C9 middle laner who has picked a variety of champions such as Vladimir and Viktor, I would like to see more Cassiopeia though. The bottom lane of Cloud9 has been relying on Sivir as a marksman recently but I’d like to see Jhin show up for them more often, when paired with a support such as Braum or Thresh it can really thrive and give C9 that little edge. Cloud9 are going to want to get aggressive warding on the top side of the map, they’re going to need to get this as soon as they’re on the rift. NRG are likely to focus on pressuring the top lane as it’s where a lot of C9’s engagement comes from. C9 is going to need to rotate their jungler around their solo lanes, the C9 middle laner has been a high priority target for opposing teams recently and keeping him safe is a must. Getting a bit of defensive vision around the middle lane could help them scale up and wait for those middle and later stages team fights. Cloud9 are going to want to try and balance out the top lane, keep the middle lane in a good position or even get him ahead and then rotate to the bottom lane where they will start pressuring objectives and trying to find fights. They should be able to find a few advantageous skirmishes in the early stages of the game through lane pressure and jungle rotations, this will give them a small lead heading through the game. If Cloud9 fall behind they’re going to need to play safely and patiently, C9 have proven to have better macro management so they should be able to rely on that to get back into the game; if they’re on even footing by the time these decision roll around then C9 will be able to gain a significant lead and force some fights which will set them up nicely to take the game.

Prediction: Cloud9 Victory. Cloud9 have been on a bit of a loss streak but when you’re facing off against the 2 top teams in the region all you can really do is try you best. Cloud9’s best was fantastic, they were able to pressure these teams and stay relevant. When against NRG I think they’re going to be able to do significantly more because they’ve proven to be that experienced.

Team Liquid vs Echo Fox NA LCS Summer Split 2016 Week 6Week 6 | Day 3 – Match #4: Team Liquid NA LCS Team Logo LoL Team Liquid vs. Echo Fox NA LCS Team Logo LoL Echo Fox

Start Time: July 10, 03:00 PM PDT/ 06:00 PM EDT/ 00:00 CEST

Head to head record: Team Liquid 1:0 Echo Fox

Their previous game was played many weeks ago and both teams have made a few changes since, Team Liquid are fighting their way up the ladder and are now in a tied position with both Apex and CLG! Echo Fox have since fallen to the bottom of the ladder, things are looking bad for Echo Fox here but if anyone knows how to bring an upset it’s their middle laner!

Prediction: Team Liquid Victory. Team Liquid has been pushing their opponents to their limits recently, they’ve been able to take down the majority of teams they’ve been facing and they’re looking like a significantly stronger team. Because of this I don’t think they’re going to run into much trouble against Echo Fox during this series.

NA LCS Summer Split Week 6 – Day 2:

The NA LCS has already had a few phenomenal games played, their day 1 was packed with excitement as C9 and TSM faced off along with Immortals vs. Team Envy. On Day 2 we will be focusing on a few other teams for 2 of the games being played, the remaining games will still be concluded in their own smaller paragraphs. Make sure you catch the games on Saturday, July 9th, on both live streams!

NRG eSports vs Apex Gaming NA LCS Summer Split 2016 Week 6Week 6 | Day 2 – Match #1: NRG Esports NA LCS Team Logo NRG Esports vs. Apex Gaming NA LCS Team Logo LoL Apex Gaming

Start Time: July 9, 12:00 PM PDT/ 03:00 PM EDT/ 21:00 CEST

Head to head record: NRG Esports 0:1 Apex Gaming

Only a single game separates these 2 teams, Apex are currently sitting ahead of NRG by a single victory but it was well earned. NRG Esports have held their consistent performances and managed to take a win in the previous week, this is contrasted by Apex who have been having trouble against every team they’ve faced, even giving Phoenix1 their first victory of the split.

I’d give NRG Esports the advantage here, there’s information circulating that Apex’s organisation is a bit strained and that’d be taking its toll on the players. Apex have had a few abysmal performances recently whereas NRG have been holding their own, performing consistently and managing to hold their position.

NRG Esports NA LCS Team Logo LoLNRG Esports are going to want to try and take a hold of their later scaling champions to abuse their fantastic team fighting. They should look to pick up a Karma in the bottom lane as their support and pairing it with a Sivir or Lucian; this will give them phenomenal lane impact and pressure. The jungler of NRG is likely to pick between Graves or Reksai however I’d like to see more Gragas from them, this will be used to assist a Trundle or Jax in the top lane along with a Viktor or Lissandra in the middle lane. Once they’re set up and ready I think NRG should try and find some early engagements, to do this they’re going to want to set up a fairly aggressive line of vision so they can keep an eye on their opponents and catch them out often. Apex have been on tilt, they’ve been making many mistakes recently and NRG are in a good position to take advantage of these, they should be able to find those early skirmishes and head into the middle and later stages of the game with a lead and vision control over a large portion of the map. They’re going to want to use their superior vision at this point to create more fights, they will thrive when forcing their opponents into uncomfortable positions; forcing them to make mistakes will be a fantastic way for NRG to propel into a significant lead. Once they’ve taken a lead they’re going to want to control and force objectives across the map, including aggressive sieging. This will let them methodically push into the base of their opponents and walk away with a win, opening up the series for them.

Apex Gaming NA LCS Team Logo LoLApex Gaming have had quite a few hardships and it’s really bringing them down, they’re the first NA LCS team to lose a series to Phoenix1 this split and that goes to show just how badly they’re being affected. They should pick for comfort, their comfortable and confident champions are how they’re going to get through the earlier stages of the game and prepare for team fights. They should aim to pick up a Nidalee or Reksai in the jungle, using them to pressure the map in the earlier stages of the game as well as power-farm to gain a level advantage; this will be useful when team fights occur because of the stats gained. The bottom lane of Apex should pick away Karma as a support, falling back onto Braum if it’s not available; pairing this with a Jhin or Ezreal seems likely and could give them a fairly potent lane. The middle lane of Apex has regularly swapped between Viktor and Karma so we could be seeing a flex-pick, I expect both of those champions to show up throughout the series and hopefully Apex can utilize them well. This just leaves the top lane, an important lane for Apex, which should look to pick up Trundle or Irelia. Those later scaling bruiser champions in the top lane can be extremely disruptive and dominating if they gain a lead. Once they’ve got their comfortable champions they’re going to want to set up a default or partially defensive line of vision in the river, close to their lanes and close to their jungle entrances. They’re going to want to avoid early skirmishes unless they have a player advantage and good enough vision to avoid surprises. Apex will be at their strongest when they’re pressuring the lanes in the earlier and middle stages of the game, successful ganks could give their already potent lanes a lead which will give them a phenomenal advantage in the later stages of the game when team fights become common. They should use this to their advantage if possible, it could give them a small lead quite quickly which can then lead to map pressure, tempo for sieging and eventually the game; giving them a nice lead to take the series.

Prediction: NRG Esports Victory. Apex is still going through a bit of a rough patch and if the information about their organisation is true then they’re going to continue to be in trouble for a while. NRG have been consistent and have made enough improvements over the split to take this series away and I expect to see them show up big during this series.

Team Liquid vs Immortals NA LCS Summer Split 2016 Week 6Week 6 | Day 2 – Match #2: Team Liquid NA LCS Team Logo LoL Team Liquid vs. Team Immortals NA LCS Team Logo LoL Immortals

Start Time: July 9, 03:00 PM PDT/ 06:00 PM EDT/ 00:00 CEST

Head to head record: Team Liquid 0:1 Immortals

Team Liquid are looking like they’re on the up and up, climbing up the ladder as the split progresses and gets closer to an end however now they’ll be facing off against a team that have lost very few games. Immortals have looked fantastically strong throughout the split and will be looking to head into the summer playoffs in an extremely strong position.

Prediction: Immortals Victory. Immortals are in a fantastic position compared to Team Liquid. TL is sitting in a good position on the ladder but Immortals are in a phenomenal position. Immortals also hold the head to head record and have experience beating TL; this will be extremely useful during this series.

Phoenix1 vs Echo Fox NA LCS Summer Split 2016 Week 6Week 6 | Day 2 – Match #3: Phoenix1 NA LCS Team Logo Phoenix1 vs. Echo Fox NA LCS Team Logo LoL Echo Fox

Start Time: July 9, 12:00 PM PDT/ 03:00 PM EDT/ 21:00 CEST

Head to head record: Phoenix1 0:1 Echo Fox

Phoenix1 managed to take their first victory of the split! It was a great step forward for them however it was against a team that’s in shambles; it’s not likely to be a regular occurrence. Echo Fox are having a fairly difficult time of their own and their match history is worse than Pheonix1’s at the moment however they’ve had stronger performances during the split which they’re going to need to look back on if they want to challenge this series.

I’d give the advantage to Echo Fox, even though they’ve had a hard time recently and haven’t been able to take a game away in their recent series’. They’ve had strong performances in the past and have shown that they know how to control a lead. If they can pressure Phoenix1 they should be able to gain that lead however Phoenix1 are revitalized after taking a victory and will be looking for more.

Phoenix1 NA LCS Team LogoPhoenix1 are going to want to recreate a similar composition to the ones they used in their recent victory, this will keep them both confident and comfortable when facing off against Echo Fox. This means we could be looking at more Braum or Karma as support and pairing it with a Twitch or Lucian. Their top lane has regularly picked Gnar and Shen in both their win and in their losses so seeing those champions wouldn’t be surprising; they’ll be able to create good game impact if they pair it with a champion such as Reksai or Elise in the jungle who will be able to pressure the earlier stages of the game relatively safely along with growing into a strong team fighting champion. The middle lane of Phoenix1 should avoid assassins for a while, picking up mages such as Cassiopeia and Lissandra has worked well for them and I’d like to see them utilize it more often. Once they’ve got their composition built they’re going to want to set up a slightly defensive line of vision, Echo Fox can get creative in the earlier stages of the game which can lead to them taking an early advantage, this would be extremely difficult for Phoenix1 to overcome so they should avoid it at all costs. For Phoenix1 to take a lead they’re going to want to play patiently in the earlier stages of the game and then explode into the middle stages of the game with constant team fights, abuse of vision, quick rotations and making sure Echo Fox can’t keep up. Echo Fox have often been slow to adapt and rotate, this can create great openings for Phoenix1 to take a lead and use that to pressure the map along with the game; giving them an advantage when going through the series.

Echo Fox NA LCS Team Logo LoLEcho Fox are likely to lock in a few of those later scaling champions so skirmishing in the earlier stages of the game isn’t likely. We could be looking at more Jhin and Nami in the bottom lane, which I think would be fantastic when facing off against Phoenix1. The duo lane is likely to be assisted by a Reksai or Gragas in the jungle, who can apply early pressure to give the lanes an advantage along with scaling into the later stages of catch out opponents. The top lane of Echo Fox has picked later scaling champions extremely often; we could be seeing more Ryze or Shen in the top lane however I’d like to see them utilize the strength of Irelia during this series. The middle lane of Echo Fox is a late game machine, control mages are the way for them to go here and I’d like to see them bring out more Anivia or Swain however Viktor has been a favoured and safe pick by many teams. When they’re on the rift they’re going to want to set up a slightly aggressive line of vision, they’ll be able to spot out their opponents and decide on skirmishes if it looks like they’re in an advantageous position. If they’re not looking to skirmish they’re going to want to take a slow pace and play reactively. Phoenix1 have often made mistakes, the kind of mistakes that lose games, so patience from Echo Fox could pay off whether they’re in a lead or at a disadvantage. I think Echo Fox will be able to take a sizable lead if they build tempo in the earlier stages of the game through small rotations, keep their lanes safe with a bit of adaptive defensive warding around the lanes and wait for opportune moments to abuse their scaling champions. They’ll be able to break into the base of Phoenix1 with patience and quick reactions; this will open up the series for them to break their bad streak.

Prediction: Echo Fox Victory. Phoenix1 may have taken a series recently, even against a relatively well place team, but I think it was a bit of a fluke considering the situation of Apex at the moment and I don’t think it’ll occur often. Echo Fox are in a pretty good position to take this series if they play slowly and methodically; I think they’ll come out on top of the series with a 2:1 score.

Team Envy vs Counter Logic Gaming NA LCS Summer Split 2016 Week 6Week 6 | Day 2 – Match #4: Team Envy NA LCS Logo Team EnVy vs. CLG NA LCS Team Logo LoL Counter Logic Gaming

Start Time: July 9, 03:00 PM PDT/ 06:00 PM EDT/ 00:00 CEST

Head to head record: Team Envy 1:0 Counter Logic Gaming

Counter Logic Gaming have put on some fantastic performances but haven’t been able to effectively capitalise on them, they’ve been able to pressure their opponents but are rarely coming out on top. Team Envy is in a similar position but has been able to utilize their phenomenal mechanical skill to come out on top. This is going to be an extremely exciting series full of action, both teams have strong macro management and I’m expecting to see them clash.

Prediction: Team Envy Victory. Counter Logic Gaming may have had good performances but not coming out on top is an extremely important note. Team Envy often play a similar style to CLG and I think they’ll be able to utilize it better during this series and come out on top of it.

NA LCS Summer Split Week 6 – Day 1:

We’ll be kicking off week 6 of the NA LCS with some phenomenal matches, both Team Solo Mid vs. Cloud9 and Team Envy vs. Immortals are matches that will surely hype us up for the rest of the week. As we head closer to the end of the Summer Split teams will be working relentlessly to end in the best possible position, it could bring some unexpected outcomes in the upcoming weeks so make sure you tune in! This week’s matches start on Friday, July 8th, so make sure you catch them as they go live!

Team SoloMid vs Cloud9 NA LCS Summer Split 2016 Week 6Week 6 | Day 1 – Match #1: TSM NA LCS Team Logo LoL Team SoloMid vs. Cloud9 NA LCS Team Logo LoL Cloud9

Start Time: July 8, 05:00 PM PDT/ 08:00 PM EDT/ 02:00 CEST next day
Head to head record: Team Solo Mid 1:0 Cloud 9

Team Solo Mid is still undefeated and we’ve passed the half-way point of the split, they’ve had a few questionable performances in few matches but this is the opening Cloud9 will need if they’re looking to take the series. Cloud9 are at a breaking point in the standings so this week will be important for them and I’m sure they’ll bring their best and step up here.

Team Solo Mid look to be at an obvious advantage statistically, they’ve won the head to head previously, are undefeated with a 10:0 score on the ladder, have had more dominating and stronger performances across the board; this is also taking into account Cloud9’s recent bad steak of games.

Logo of LCS NA Team TSMTeam Solo Mid are likely to stick with their current comfortable champions, it’s what’s been working for them and it’s been able to adapt regardless of what situations TSM has faced. This means we’ll likely see more Irelia in the top lane which will be assisted by a Gragas or Elise in the jungle. Their middle lane has shown some diversity in champion picks however I think we’ll be seeing more Zilean and Azir from them against Cloud9. The bottom lane of TSM has comfortably swapped between Lucian and Sivir as their marksmen and has paired them with Karma or Bard on a regular basis so seeing those champions would come as no surprise. Once they’re ready and on the rift I think Team Solo Mid should adapt an aggressive line of vision against Cloud9, a lot of Cloud9’s pressure comes from their jungle and having the vision of their opponent’s jungler will help them negate that pressure and create some of their own. Earl jungle rotations will be quite important in this match-up, halting the Cloud9 jungler from pressuring the map or slowing it down will put TSM in a good position to take those earlier fights and contest earlier objectives. TSM have the potential to gain an early advantage in this match-up, with early skirmishes they will be able to gain map control and slowly push the game in their favour. I think if Team Solo Mid are able to keep tabs on the Cloud9 jungler they will be able to open up significant opportunities during the game and will have easily available pressure for the lanes, this will put them in a good position to take advantageous team fights around the middle stages of the game to take a significant lead which will lead to their victory, giving them the opportunity to quickly take the series.

Cloud9 NA LCS Team Logo LoLCloud 9 have run into some trouble recently but sticking to the champions they’re comfortable on are their best bet at contending this series, this means we could be seeing more Sivir and Ashe in the bottom lane as marksmen, even though I’d like to see more Jhin, and pairing them with a Bard or Braum. The middle lane of Cloud9 has often picked different champions but I’d like to see more Twisted Fate from them along with Azir popping up from time to time, adapting to their suited play-style. The jungler of Cloud9 will contest the Gragas pick for the jungle, falling back onto Graves if it’s not available, which will assist an Irelia or Trundle in the top lane. When they’ve got their champions locked in I think they should set up and maintain a fairly defensive line of vision, this will help them adapt to the movements of Team Solo Mid and will also protect one of their most valuable assets from being abused in the earlier stages of the game. This could give their jungler enough room to apply pressure in the earlier stages of the game and open up the time for Cloud 9 to scale think Cloud9 would be at a disadvantage when skirmishing during the earlier stages of the game, unless they’re able to catch out their opponents, so unless they find something that looks obviously advantageous they should stick to a more patient style of play. For Cloud9 to take a lead against Team Solo Mid they’re going to need to have stepped up their macro management, the middle and later stages of the game will be the breaking points because after any fights the objectives are going to be a main focus and it will be difficult to manage those whilst working around the possible conflicts. They’re going to need to work patiently and wait for opportunities to take fights; they should be able to work around the miss-positioning of their opponents to find an advantageous fight which could give them a lead and the time they’ll need to take or contest objectives. They’ll need to focus heavily on their vision control and make sure they regularly evaluate their situation. If they play patiently and wait for opportune moments I think they can avoid the trouble in the earlier stages of the game and contest the fights in the middle and later stages, opening up a lead for them and giving them the opportunity to take the game; essentially opening up the series for them.

Prediction: Team Solo Mid Victory. I really hope Cloud9 will be able to put up one hell of a fight but their previous game against teams considered weaker than Team Solo Mid did not go well at all; with that point and the other advantages TSM has I think they’ll be able to take this series fairly convincingly.

Team Envy vs Immortals NA LCS Summer Split 2016 Week 6Week 6 | Day 1 – Match #2: Team Envy NA LCS Logo Team EnVy vs. Team Immortals NA LCS Team Logo LoL Immortals

Start Time: July 8, 08:00 PM PDT/ 11:00 PM EDT/ 05:00 CEST next day
Head to head record: Team Envy 0:1 Immortals

Team Envy has had a few good performances recently but ended their week 5 with a few quick losses, they’re going to need to really step up and show improvements if they’re looking to take this series away from Immortals. Immortals are currently right by the top of the ladder, having only dropped a single series, and are in a good position to push Team Envy to their limits.

Immortals look to be at quite a good advantage here; they’ve got a much stronger track record and have pumped out stronger performances. They’re in a significantly better position on the ladder and they even hold the head to head over Team Envy.

Team EnVy NA LCS Team Logo LoLTeam Envy should try and pick up the compositions they recently had some success on, they’re likely to be fairly confident picks and they fit in nicely to deny some strong picks from Immortals. Trundle can be flex picked for both the top lane and as the support for the bottom lane; Swain can also be a phenomenal pick for their top lane. Pairing these with a Reksai could give them fantastic potential to pick off opponents or control regions of the map, taking Reksai will also take away a strong pick from Immortals. The bottom lane of Team Envy has recently swapped between Ashe and Sivir, both of which are fantastic options, and pairing them with a Karma or Bard could give them phenomenal lane pressure. The middle lane of Team Envy will play an extremely important role in this match up, taking a heavy wave clear control mage will be fantastic so an Azir or Viktor could have great impact on team fights and denying aggressive pushes from Immortals. . When they’re locked in and ready I think they’ll want to try and create a defensive line of vision across the river, this will help them avoid early skirmishes from Immortals and will give them information if Immortals go aggressive trying to invade their jungle. Team Envy should try and rotate regularly, pressuring the entire map and creating strong defensive zones to avoid fights when they’re still trying to scale. Immortals can go aggressive at any point during the game so Team Envy is going to need to be constantly prepared. They’ll need to tread carefully around the middle and later stages of the game where Immortals are likely to take high impact fights to try and take over the game but if Team Envy can either avoid them or kite the situation and find advantageous points they could end in a strong position to contest the game. It’s going to be difficult but if they can work around the aggressive movements from Immortals they should be able to find advantages in possible miss-positioning of Immortals and capitalise by eventually taking the game, opening up the series for them.

Immortals NA LCS Team Logo LoLImmortals have shown a dedication to a few jungle champions, we’re likely to see a Nidalee or Reksai show up in their jungle which will is probably going to be assisting a Viktor or Zilean in the middle lane. The top lane of Immortals has the potential to take a strong position on the game and make things difficult for their opponents, a scaling champion such as Ryze or Irelia could bring fantastic impact throughout the many stages of the game. The bottom lane of Immortals is where a lot of their utility will lie; champion picks such as Sivir, Ashe, Soraka and Nami will be showing up in that lane to carry the later stages of the game. Once they’ve locked in and made all of their preparations I think they should aim to set up an aggressive line of vision in the earlier stages of the game, trying to reach their wards into their opponent’s jungle will give them information on possible rotations or early pressure and will also allow them to pressure the lanes with significant safety. They’re going to want to spend a small portion of the early game pressuring the top lane; if they can propel their top lane into a lead then they’ll have control over that portion of the map, opening up objectives and stronger early skirmishes for them. They’re going to want to make a lot of aggressive movements against Team Envy, they should look to take early skirmishes, make teleport flanks and try and force team fights; they’ll be able to come out ahead if they’re playing confidently and this will give them exactly what they need to pressure the map and come out on top of the game. Once they’ve taken control of significant portions of the map they’ll be set up to methodically take control of the game and take a victory, opening up the series for them.

Prediction: Immortals Victory. Immortals have a more dominant play style and are likely to come out on top of the earlier stages of the game, because of this if they can maintain that advantage they will be favourable when team fights roll around. Their aggressive movements are likely to be methodical and difficult to counter, giving Immortals a fantastic position to take this series.
