The Casters and On-Air Team at LoL MSI 2017

MSI 2017 the first big League of Legends tournament this year started on April 28, with a showdown between the Oceanic Pro League’s Dire Wolves and Brazil’s Red Canids. If you follow all events hosted by Riot Games then you already know that the casters and analysts lineup plays a major role in the quality of the tournament. For this purpose, Riot Games invited casters from every major region, but it is clear that the lineup favors casters and an on-air team from regions that are usually regarded somewhat weaker.

League of Legends enthusiasts are happy to see PapaSmithy in the lineup, but his longstanding partner Achillios wasn’t invited. The inclusion of Phreak was also met with excitement. Although LoL fans generally love the lineup it still managed to raise eyebrows bearing in mind that small contingent of casters was invited from only two regions that have actually won MSI (China and Korea). Below, you can see the complete lineup – the MSI 2017 Livestream can be found here.
