This year’s All-Star match is going to be interesting. Valve usually unveils something during the All-Star matches, last year it was the unveiling of Goblin Techies, the scourge of most teams and destroyer of pre-planned strats. This year there are rumors of Pitlord being the hero that Valve would unveil at the All-Star match.
The All-Star match will be held on August 6th, 2015 as the last match of the day. It is time to look at the captains. The team captains would be BigDaddyN0Tail from Cloud 9 and ChuaN from Invictus Gaming. Both players are supports in their respective and are not team captains. The team compositions are as follows:
Captain: Johan “BigDaddhN0Tail” Sundstein – Cloud 9 – Support
Sayed “Suma1L” Hassan – Evil Geniuses – Mid
Daryl Koh “iceiceice” Pei Xiang – Vici Gaming – Offlaner
Xu “BurNIng” Zhilei – Invictus Gaming – Carry
Zhang “xiao8” Ning – LGD Gaming – Mid
Captain: Wong “ChuaN” Hock Chuan – Invictus Gaming – Support
Chai “Mushi” Yee Fung – Fnatic – Mid
Clement “Puppey” Ivanov – Team Secret – Support
Clinton “Fear” Loomis – Evil Geniuses – Carry
Luo “Ferrari_430” Feichi – Invictus Gaming – Mid
People don’t often like All-star matches as most players are not really trying or having fun. One of the best All-star matches has been at the Summit 2, where death match was the game mode of choice of the organizers. Some suggestions to make the All-star match more interesting would be it a reverse captains mode game, or Valve might even take the opportunity to highlight the new Dota 2 Reborn by playing some of the mini-games available. Who would not want to see pros all playing Rubik or playing as Pudge and trying to hook each other? It would be so good.
