FaZe introduces changes in their CS:GO team roster

CSGO Counter Strike LogoFaZe has announced that they will be making a small roster change in their Counter Strike: Global Offensive team. The change is in their AWPer position where Fox was having much difficulties in the last couple of months. His replacement will be Allu, a former member of ENCE who had some amazing matches during the course of last 4 months. His average KDA was 1.19 which is pretty good for an AWPer of his caliber. This, of course, intrigued FaZe who were, by the looks of it, already searching for Fox’s replacement. After a series of bad performances it was pretty clear that they needed a change… And they got it in form of the Finnish international who is ready to set the scene on fire!

What led to this roster change?

FaZe Clan LogoDuring the last couple of months, it was getting pretty clear that Fox is underperforming at FaZe. This did not go unnoticed by the team’s board who have decided to replace him as soon as possible. Their decision was made public a few days ago when they made a public announcement of their roster changes.

Ricardo “Fox” Pacheco will be replaced by Aleksi “Allu” Jalli who has had amazing success with ENCE. This news comes as no surprise because there were many who doubted Fox’s skills recently. Many fans exclaimed that Fox was underperforming and did nothing to improve his skill in the recent months. Critics and analysts bashed him as well, because of not pulling his own weight at the team. This all led to his replacement, and it’s, quite frankly, not that surprising to see.

What about Fox’s future at eSports?

At the time of writing this article, news on Fox’s future has not yet been released. As far as we know, he is still under contract with FaZe and presumably, they will leave him as a replacement. The team’s board have yet to set a meeting with the player and discuss his future there. If they release him from his contract, we are sure that he will do his best to find another team and prove his worth. The Portuguese international will have to do better than at FaZe if he wants to go back to professional CS:GO eSports scene, that’s for sure!

What does all of this mean for FaZe?

After this roster change, FaZe will surely have to step up a notch if they want to go toe to toe with some of the best teams on the scene. Truth be told, their squad has amazing potential and it is a real surprise that they are not having the results to go with it. Will Allu change that? Well, it is difficult o know at this stage. There’s still lots of things that can happen in the upcoming weeks. We will have to wait for the upcoming tournaments to see if he was worth it. Needless to say, if he manages to bring his great form from ENCE, there’s no doubt that he is going to be a great addition to Faze’s team.

How are fans reacting to this roster change?

As we stated above, fans were not on Fox’s side with many of them claiming that he’s the reason for team’s bad results last season. Bis surprise is that, even after this, fans still believe that FaZe will have a bad season ahead of them. Even though they did not like Fox’s performances, they think Allu will do even worse.

This still remains highly controversial and we will have to wait for some real matches before we can determine for ourselves.
